I wonder about that. He seems like someone where it'd be cheap to try and see if the guys in Dunedin could fix him. I think a big part of the issue for him has been injuries, and the upside is Cy Young Finalist/All-star level starter at a low price. Plus the feel-good story of him being a Canadian - if he re-habs into a serviceable starter that looks great for the club. A low-cost Canadian starter might be just what they need going into a rebuild.
Could just be wishful thinking - I'm always going to cheer for the guy from Calgary to succeed...
