Let's go Stars but I have to admit like many of you I am not liking this Oilers nonsense!! I get nervous the closer those greaseballs get to the Cup especially with McLottery & Divesaitl in their lineup. Oiler fans were quick to remind me at work today the amount of playoff games their team has won over the past 3 seasons and putting it up against the Flames total, I had to leave when they started talking about the amount of Cups they have. Blah!

Call me Biased, but the Oilers are 100% the weakest of the 4 remaining teams.

What I really, truly want is Dallas in 4!

But the refs will gift Bummonton one game, so it may turns out to be Dallas in 5.

I'm optimistic that the Stars can win. They've had 2 tough series and were able to limit Makar/Mackinnon pretty well which bodes well for them handling the PP princesses. Here's to hoping the officiating can at least rebound a little. Such hot garbage all postseason.

Hopefully we can do you guys a solid and send these losers home. I am not sure I can put up with 2 weeks of McDavid talk after the last couple weeks of Mackinnon and Makar.

I'm just hoping Oettinger shows up. If he's not on his game this could get dicey.

I like Dallas. They're a better team top to bottom. But this won't be a cake walk.

It's the NHL, and we're talking about 2 of the top 4 players on the planet who play for the Oilers.

I think it's a 6-7 game series and I'm hoping the Stars stinginess is in full effect.

It's too close for my comfort level with a SC appearance on the line.

Stars are in relatively good shape and probably get Hintz back soon. They have great Dmen at both ends of the rink. Plus they've gotten this far without Pavelski doing much and he could well turn it on for one last run. Same for Duchene and Dadonov.

Plus there are guys like Benn who aren't afraid of being physical with top players.

Don't worry, they'll shut up real good in about 9 days time.

Flexing their welfare handout team's botching of 8 years of mcdavid over their provincial rival that hasn't seen one 1st overall let alone 4 in 6 years is basically one of the only fleeting pleasures in life being from Edmonton.

It's really all they have going for them in terms of things to be prideful of.

Be grateful that you don't walk around in public dressed like a clown with Evander Kane's name plastered on tour back. So embarrassing.

They also definitely had the easiest path to the conference finals. LA was basically a bye and Vancouver certainly seems like a weaker opponent than any of the other teams had to face in round 2, especially without Demko

If you guys want a good laugh, you should check out the other site.

There are many Oilers posters on there comparing Evan Bouchard to Cale Makar. Saying he is one of the best dmen in the NHL.

The Oilers also have the 3 best players left in the playoffs apparently (McDavid, Draisatl and Bouchard).

I want them to get swept SO badly. A simple series loss isn't enough. I want to see their fans be miserable again.

They're just screwing themselves in that case.

Don't know how you afford the "best d-man in the nhl" and pay raises for ken and mcbarbie without having an AHL budget for the rest of your team (and that albatross nurse)

Unrelated to the series, the fact that Bouchard signed for 3.9 million and Swayman signed for 3.475 when each player could have been signed longterm for 6 million and all a team would have had to give up is a 1st and 3rd is proof positive of the idiotic collusion in the NHL. You would think there would be at least one team interested in a 23 year old PP specialist or a 24 year old starting goalie for the cost of a 1st and a 3rd.

Hell the Bruins had just given up a 1st, 2nd and 3rd and a 5th for Orlov and Hathaway. I will never understand why teams don’t use offer sheets more.

I was speaking to some friends here in Edmonton who are obviously "die-hard" Oilers fans (or so they say).

They were asking me why I can't cheer for the Oilers, as they're Canada's team after all, and I've lived in Edmonton for the past 2.5 years. I said that I could not bring myself to support them because of their rivalry with the Flames, and that I'm loyal to Calgary, even if they suck right now. I asked them if they would support the Flames if they were in the same position as the Oilers right now. Got a quiet "no." My point just proven.

My follow-up question was if they were still die-hard fans during their 7+ years that they sucked and drafted #1 a historical 4 times in 6 years. I got told that wasn't a fair question, as every team has periods when they suck and it's hard to cheer for them.

Another point just proven: it's really easy to jump on the bandwagon, especially when all the media gets behind your team. That's why this whole "Canada's team" concept is kind of dumb. There's no "America's team" or "California's team" or "Florida's team." Everyone wants their own team to win, for their very own selfish reasons. That's what it means to be a dedicated pro sports fan.

Go Stars

4 losses in a row while being outscored 21-0. Their fans don't get a single thing to cheer for over 4 games.
