So, coming in here and berating those who are calling out OUR representatives for coddling and gladhanding the type of acts that you yourself seem to deplore, is aggravating to say the least.
NATO and the UN sending condolences on our behalf is ####ty behavior, and needs to be called out. Coming in here and trying to draw parallels that aren't there, only draw attention to the parts of the Gaza story that we have all condemned, and that is the use of physical and sexual abuse as a weapon, that Iran pioneered in the modern iteration of the region. Hamas is the bastard child of Iran's regime, and it's okay to not like them.

I can see you’re trying really hard to make this into something it isn’t, so first, I just want to say good effort. We see you. We hear you. You are important. Don’t let people seeing the humour in your strife get you down. You will get through this.
Now, if everyone could stop defending militant Islamic rapists and murders by… uh… calling them terrorists and posting funny Onion articles about them, that would be great.
Oh, and sending condolences to the people of Iran, who I’m guessing Harry Lime is referring to with the “rapists and murders” thing? Big yuck.

This is a bit fishy though and makes one wonder if the same NATO assassins responsible for the attempt on the Slovakian PM’s life could be involved in this

What you really need to watch for is the tip of the Space Laser falling into the atmosphere.

The timing is definitely eye brow raising but it has all characteristics needed to be a legitimate crash. Old helicopter, poor visibility, difficult terrain. Helicopters are not exactly the safest mode of transportation.
If it was nefarious they certainly could not have disguised it better.

Only Russia does those. Not the west.
On a related note, I question myself having been on 2 helicopter rides so far in my life. Doesn't seem like the safest means of transportation!

I seriously doubt this changes much in Iran. They'll find another president and foreign minister and keep on Iranning.
This would be like Biden and Blinken being in a plane crash. It would be shocking and a huge event, but within a few hours they'll have replacements in place and just carry on.

Iran seems like it is getting really ripe for another revolution. A growing secular population still being ruled by theocratic politicians. People have been demonstrating for years and it doesn't seem to be stopping.
This incident might not be the trigger, but eventually the dam is going to break, and it might not take much to set it off.

Orrrrrrr, is it perhaps in the best interests of the region, Iran and global affairs to tweet out some platitudes and have a moment of silence here and there in order to show respect - and acknowledge - the Iranian people on the lead up to a potentially transformative time for that country?
I think it would be really dumb and short sighted to have world leaders flapping around trying to rub salt in the wounds of Iran and Iranians over the loss of their leader when reaching out is the basic - and sensible - option.
This is all just diplomacy 101 lol. What on earth are you getting worked up about? Read between the lines, guy. Nobody thinks he was a good dude. Like, you understand that, right? These are just reaching out to Iranians at a cost of $0. It's really the only course of action, obviously.
