Canucks fans issues with Sutherland relate to the 2011 finals (Misconduct penalty to D. Sedin for getting punched) and then 2013 series vs the Sharks (incredibly soft cross-check and boarding calls in the elimination game).

While I agree he's an awful referee (with tenure, as they all do) I don't buy the bias.

Such a weird story. Someone on Twitter claimed it occurred, and neither the Hockey News nor the Montreal Journal is citing anyone who gave them the info. Has the person it happened to even said anything?

It's totally believable with that team and their ol' boys club, but I'd like to see at least some evidence before I say anything.

Has there always been this much of an emphasis on public viewing parties? Post covid thing I suppose? I mean I know in Vancouver's case they're trying to prove to the rest of the country they can be responsible adults, but it seems to be only the Canadian teams doing it too.

Maybe I'm just old and out of touch but that's probably the last place I'd want to watch a game, whatever happened to just watching at your local boozer?
