Not, it may have picked something, T line was said when she let go but not sure if that was the sweepers saying it or Paetz saying that on them. Very uncharacteristic of Tirinzoni and Peatz to miss those last few shots by so much.

Gushue's into the final. An amazing record that in 5 World Championship Appearances, he's made the final every time (1 gold, 3 silver).

He also has 2006 Olympic gold and 2022 Olympic bronze (the only international tournament where he didn't make the final)

Are they going to reunite with Koe?

Or maybe grab Brad Jacobs?

Bring back Johnny Moe to skip the Dream Team!!

A few surprises here
-disappointing performances
-that they’re calling it quits already
-they just couldn’t mesh
-that they fired the skip

Jacob’s has to be who they’re going with. Familiarity with Kennedy.

Niklas Edin to take over as skip so he can complete the cycle with a Brier while wearing blue and yellow, book it!

But seriously now, Jacob’s or Koe seem like the only ones it really could be given the quadrennial timeline given the quality of the team. What else is there beyond just throwing out various prairie based skips? Convince Thiessen to come back and have Kennedy or Gallant take over halfway through an Olympic cycle?

Rumor——— Jacob’s taking over team Bottcher, Bottcher taking over team Koe and Kevin Koe on the outside looking in.

Team Bottcher is so stacked but has underperformed, so it’s not a huge surprise. Not sure if he ever really meshed with the other guys.

Will be something else if Koe ends up the odd man out.

Right now it’s all about finding the right mix to beat Gushue & Edin.

Boetcher getting the same treatment he gave Darren Moulding a couple years ago......good.

Watch Boettcher and Koe team up now.

So will they continue to play as an Alberta team with Jacobs as the import?

I’m not sold that this is an upgrade. I think Bottcher has become a better shot maker than Jacobs.

Jacobs brings more experience and maybe there just wasn’t a fit with the team.

Strictly my observation from afar, but Boettcher comes across as a bit of an arrogant prick and someone whom it would be difficult to be a team mate with at times.

If so, then just getting that kind of negativity off the team could improve them regardless of shot making ability.....though Jacobs is no slouch in that department either.

Im still really curious as to what set all this in motion and will find out in time from one of the horses mouth, but IMO it comes down to chemistry.

Also really wondering about the Koe stuff...he had a poor year by his standards but IMO is also still one of the best in the world. Just cant see his team wanting to part ways at this point (which would be awkward for Martin im sure) unless they think Boettcher could be better... but Tardi was hand picked by KK to join in the 1st place.

I think Bottcher was a source of dissention. It’s not an upgrade but they wanted him out.

I wonder how this will affect their sponsorships and team finances. Part of Darren Mouing getting “cut” by Bottcher was that he was questioning the team finances/ account/ payouts which Bottcher was in control of. Hebert and Kennedy have been around long enough that they will not put up with any sort of drama, and know when “things” are not working out.

Yes they will play out of Alberta with Jacobs as the import.
