Smith had better slap someone in this film or what a waste of an opportunity.
Lol. They have to go for a scene where he replicates the Chris Rock Slap, but then pulls back to be the better man. If Smith can't poke fun at himself like that, he's no longer a believable Mike Lowrey.

For whatever reason, the 'Bad Boys' series just doesnt really do anything for me.
The first two are top tier action comedy probably. I'm pretty sure I've seen the 3rd but don't remember it. I don't think I watched the most recent one because it looked lame. This looks decent.
I went to a wedding in Vegas last year and met a stuntman... nicest guy ever. I asked him what he's in that's upcoming and he says he gets stabbed in the eye in the new Bad Boys movie. My reaction was the same as Locke... "there's another Bad Boys movie?"

Nope, and you're right, but I can see why it went that way.
We had:
Bad Boys (1995)
Bad Boys II (2003)
Bad Boys For Life (2020)
Bad Boys: Ride or Die (2024)
Bad Boys 4 Life would've of course been a perfect name for a fourth movie, but after 17 years between movies (and Martin Lawrence not really being in much of anything in the ten years prior), I think they saw the third as a "last send off" type of movie that would've been a niche favorite at best. When it turned in to a surprise hit (a January release grossing over $200M domestic is almost unheard of) and Martin Lawrence stayed in shape, they wanted to keep it going, so here we are, forever robbed of Bad Boys 4 being Bad Boys 4 Life. Oh well!
