I presume for rest of season, it’s an all out war audition for next year . I just don’t see how we can keep all these dmen for next season? Not to mention if there is anybody on the farm that could earn a spot next year.

Any wrangler in depth fans know if any current wranglers knocking on door for next season?

One thing about trading for a Sharks blueliner, the team is so crap you can't really tell who is potentially good or not. I don't think Greir can either.

I thought one of Kuznetzov or Solovyov would push but now the left side is jam packed, assuming Kylington is back (please).

Weegar
Kylington
Okhotiuk

Probably have spots essentially locked up for now. Then there’s

Solovyov
Kuznetsov
Poirier
Grushnikov

All fighting for minutes on the left in the AHL. All four of those guys should be getting tastes of the NHL next year if they are going to be important for the future.

Injuries will happen and Weegar can always go back to the right side (I think Poirier can play off side as well) but there might not be enough slots available for effective development next year. Nobody gets any better playing third pair in the AHL.

Barring UFA signings or trades, next year's D depth:

NHL
Weegar
Andersson
Kylington (assuming he extends)
Miromanov
Okhotiuk
Pachal
Hanley

AHL
Solovyov
Kuznetsov
Grushnikov
Poirier
Brzustewicz (Assuming he signs ELC)
Lyle

I though both kylington and Weegar have also played RD. Could be way off though.

Looks good to me. Soloyov first call up or he can be the 8 if he needs waivers.

Kuznetsov, Grushnikov, Poirier and Brzustewics can all use more AHL time.

So what was the strategy behind this trade? He's been a healthy scratch lately.

He is still quite young so he is more prospect that NHL regular.

But yeah I'd prefer to see him play over waiver wire guys. Him watching games isn't helping anyone too much.

My 5 cents as a Russian speaker. There's no "CH" sound in how it's spelled in Russian.
It's "ah-hot-tuK" where the "tuK" sounds like Duke with a T.

No, the U sounds like the word "you". Not like "oo".

You say Duke not Dook.

Just speculating, but he might be still learning the zone defense system.

Huska commented on how Miromanov and Pachal didn't need time to adapt because Vegas plays the same system the Flames do.

Oooh I feel like this is a bit of a spicy take. I would definitely say that Duke and toque rhyme.

I pronounce those both the same way though.

Do you mean more like "dyuke" (d-yuke)?

I've always pronounced Duke and toque similarly. IMO, toque isn't pronounced "took".

Yeah, it's the Russian letter "ю". It creates the "yu" sound. Maybe I'm just saying toque wrong.
