Sabres 4 Flames 1
Sabres 4 Flames 1
- Huberdeau with the only goal
- Sabres with two empty netters to break it open
- Wolf solid in his start
Game story still brief (vacay attention to detail)

That 4th line has looked good the last two games. Brings the energy and momentum you want from one.

I get that he has the best individual drive on the team, but he could mix in a pass now and then. The number of passes he ignored this game really stood out to me.

The Kadri thing is a problem every night, but it's heightened when he turns it over often.
Is he a puck hog?
Doesn't see his teammates?
Feels he needs to drive things?

Flames down to 1% as a chance now. There's a chance!
By pace I'd say they are out. The Flames can't catch the Knights on their current pace. The Flames can get to 95 points, but the Knights are on a 96 point pace.
The 10th place team is on a .507 pace, for the Flames to get to the 10th spot they need to go 5-6-1
Canucks 100%
Stars 100%
Jets 100%
Avalanche 100%
Oilers 100%
Predators 98%
Kings 91%
Golden Knights 67%
Blues 37%
Wild 5%
Flames 1%
Kraken 0%
Coyotes 0%
Blackhawks 0%
Ducks 0%
Sharks 0%

If you discount the first-shot goals this season, the team's goaltending has been good. However, first-shot goals have been the team's downfall this season, as they rarely come back from them, even if the rest of the game had solid goaltending.

1%?
Maybe Huska doesn’t know. Still prefer to play old scrubs over Coronato and other prospects.
Sutter wasn’t the only crazy one

The thing with the first shot goals is it's not always on the goalie. The team had a bad habit last year of letting the other team get a grade A scoring chance right away last season too.

It does make you wonder how well he will be able to adapt his game as he ages.

Game wasn't pretty. That uniform combo was 10/10 though.

That first goal Saturday night in Vancouver is a perfect example of this.

I'll give it a 9.9/10 because I think Buffalo's home and Flames' away jerseys are an even better combination.

Yeah, I didn't see the game but watched the highlight after finding out it was the first shot. Absolutely embarrassing defense.

Except they did come back from the one goal deficit. It was 1-1 for a long time.
They've actually had a lot more comebacks this year. Example: Wolf's game against the Canes in December. Early goal against, 3-2 win.
I can't recall a whole lot of first shot goals this season either. That was a least season issue.

Kadri wouldn't have gotten away with being a puck hog in Colorado. No way Bednar would have put up with that crap and don't know why Huska does here.
Even Huberdeau isn't dangerous at all when he's playing as the ME player. He's a great passer as we've seen all too seldomly this year ....but when guys are open they aren't ready so ??? What do you do.
Tanguay used to be like that which is why the joke with him was ill shoot when I want which was weird because he was lethal when he got hot.
I hope we Fire Savard into the sun as PP coach and hire Tangs....isn't that the rumored plan?

Makes you wonder what he was hearing from Sutter last year. Whatever it was, he didn’t like it.
