If any team is going to overpay, it's going to be a Canadian market that thinks their time is now.

I have a feeling all of the other potential suitors weren't willing to give up what the Flames wanted.

A rental is not a surprise. Vancouver will be getting a very good complimentry player. Conroy's first big test. The warm body sounds like a prototypical hit or miss guy. 1st is nice but a magic bean and if it's this year, likely in the 20s. If it's next year it's 3 years away. Prospect should be just as important, someone who can play as soon as next year.

But preparing to be underwhelmed.
