If anybody wants to see a pretty hilariously poorly written show but with some episodes set at the Banff Springs, then Wilderness may fit the bill
Found out yesterday my cousin’s rafting company in Squamish was used for the first episode and he’s even the guide in the show. The rest of the show does seem pretty weak so far.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but James May is the only tolerable one of the Top Gear/Grand Tour trio. And even he's better on his own.
Eh...everyone has their favourite, I like all three of them. If anything, Hammond I find the least interesting, I dont really follow his independent shows.
Clarkson is a blast, I like most of what Clarkson does despite the fact that he's an insufferable ass.
What I like about May is that he takes a humorous approach to history and culture and I'm there for that.
But May is better on his own I think. I'd agree with that.

I find Hammond likeable, but not entertaining. So the perfect compliment for a duo comprised of a complete ass and a bit of a curmudgeon. Not the best on his own, however.
while somewhat on the topic, as i didnt see it before. So much for Clarkson's cancellation as it looks like he will sign a new deal to extend Clarkson's Farm by 3 years - $250 Million.

I like Clarkson's farm too. We just have to acknowledge that they're just getting too old to keep on doing 'The Grand Tour.'
Which is a shame. Those three idiots travelling the world has provided some of the best entertainment of our time, and I hope at some point that they get back together and keep doing it, but its unlikely. Thats just a wish.
James has his own thing, Jeremy has his own thing and Hammond has his own thing and they all cost a lot less to produce than The Grand Tour, regardless of how much anyone loves those shows.
I find watching them hilarious, as I've said before, the one I find the least compelling and a little boring is Hammond.
Clarkson is great. Hes a giant buffoon but damn is he funny.
But May? That guy really has what it takes as a host/presenter. I love watching him travel, or try and cook...I dont know what it is, he's just great.

I'm actually surprised it took this long for them to leave "The Grand Tour". I don't remember which episode it was, but way back in the BBC Top Gear days there was a car review where Jeremy was driving and mentioned that because of his fitness level and the impact of doing car reviews, his body wasn't going to last too long. This was many many years ago. He must have toughed it out. Oddly enough, I'd think that farming is more taxing on him than driving.
I'm glad we still have some great content from these folks. I do agree with most folks here. Out of all the presenters, Hammond is the weakest of the bunch.

I dont honestly know what the circumstances are, whether they're leaving the show to do their own things, or if its being cancelled, it doesnt much matter really.
But yeah, they're just getting too old to do it. Seeing James in that crash in 'A Scandi Flick' was pretty rough, and Hammond...well, he goes without saying. His wife is probably pretty happy that he's leaving cars behind.
And they're all doing their own thing which all costs a lot less money to produce. Not that Amazon should particularly care.
