Apparently there was a celebration.
But I digress, the point was merely that with a huge population that nearly rivals Canada’s, it can’t be as bad as Yoho is making it out to be, otherwise people would have fled to “better” places.

Oh yeah, mine wasn't really a counterpoint, just a "the more you know" thing, which it turns out the "more you know" should have been directed at myself, lol.

That video was just a bunch of verbal diarrhea.
Funny how he never mentioned the 91 indictments against him or him trying to overturn a valid election. I guess the country continuing to be a democracy isn’t high on his list. Weird.

I know you’re not serious but Canadians who support the orange menace are delusional if they don’t think the consequences in Canada wouldn’t be severe. the whole world, yes, but they’re out next door neighbour and the $h1t show down there would embolden the crazies here (think: Theo Fleury) and we’d be in a world of trouble.

The house is going through the first vote and the insurrectionist who also covered up abuse at Ohio state already doesn't have enough votes.
The Republican house is in total disarray.. the "adults" aren't very good at this.

Jordan barely made 200 votes in the first round and some republicans said they'd only support him for one round and if he didn't make it they'd vote someone else.
I love it when bad things happen to bad people.

What Republicans are saying about Jordan's first-round loss
Quote:
But he has to contend with members such as Colorado's Ken Buck, who is staunchly anti-Jordan because of concerns he won't support Ukraine funding and because of his role in protesting the 2020 election results.
"I am not going to vote for Jim, I just think there's too much there at this point," Buck told ABC News. Buck said he feels so strongly "because I just don't think that we can win the presidential election if we have candidates and leaders in our party who won't admit that Donald Trump lost, who won't admit that the Republican Party wants to move forward."
|
Quote:
Jordan met with Scalise behind closed doors on Tuesday and asked for help to get the needed votes, a source told ABC News Senior Congressional Correspondent Rachel Scott. The source says Scalise wouldn't commit to helping Jordan.
|
Quote:
Of course, Republicans such as Meuser and others argued that not voting in a speaker will also threaten GOP victories in the next election.
"I think it absolutely casts a bad cloud over the institution and Republicans," New York Rep. Nicole Malliotakis told ABC News.

Jordan again short in the second round of voting today, with 199 votes (he had 200 yesterday). Spartz and LaMalfa flipped in favour of him, plus Bilirakis, who wasn't in attendance yesterday. He lost four others (Buchanan, Ferguson, Miller-Meeks and Stauber).
