There would certainly be a different demeanor. Probably a lot of internal judgment, rather than explicit external judgment like you see here. People generally aren't as bold when they want to say something while looking into someone's eyes. And those who are tend to be alienated because they're perceived as too brash.

Pepsi would get promptly smacked if he pulled the same stuff in real life. Even if sometimes he's correct, being that nitpicking third party to other people's conversations would go over like a lead balloon. People generally don't put up with a person that behaves that way, which is why you rarely see it in real life.

I've had this happen on CP before. I referred the offending poster to websites on when to catch yourself cyber-bullying and the magnitude of making death treats to others online. He proceeded to lose his #### on me. Of course, I wouldn't expect anything else from that particular poster. I'm sure it exists elsewhere on the board. FYI reporting the offending post did nothing and I got radio silence from the mods.

Yeah, I think those websites are probably something that can be shared again. Telling someone to 'go be a victim on Deerfoot' and then bizarrely defending it as anything but what that directly means to everyone else, is really a hallmark of insecure narcissism and prepubescent anger management issues. Professional help should be recommended for cases like this.

Actually - an anonymous poll might be fun. My guess is this thread has a lot of silent observers and would be fun to know what they think.

Yeah, a lot of these theories could have some overlap. But at least listing them separately we can add-up the responses manually and see where people lean

What if aliens weren't travelling great distances, but rather just constructing remotely from a great distance. It's a known phenomena in nature that photons in the presence of an electron, can create matter and simple molecules out of empty space. This is way off in sci-fi territory, but what if an intelligent being found a way to build off of that process and actually create more complex structures that could even synthesize life forms.
