Credit to the Heat, they could have folded with how Game 6 ended, and while they haven't been great overall they've played with good intensity. The Celtics just didn't look ready from the jump tonight.

Both Boston teams NHL and NBA lost to the 8th seeded team at home in game 7.

Would've been cool to see the the Celtics pull off the comeback, but I'm happy for the Heat. First 8th seed since the 99 Knicks to get to the finals. Although I think the Nuggets take it in 5

I'd have liked a Boston/Denver final. Generally likeable teams. Not a fan of Herro, but I do like playoff Butler. Guessing Denver takes it in 5 as well.

Happy to see these two teams make it. That said, I don't see any way Miami wins this. They're one of the least-equipped to match up against Jokic in the league. Number one offense against the zone this season, so that's not going to work. Undersized Cs like Adebeyo tend to struggle against Jokic in the post, and they don't really have any other Cs they can go to off the bench except for Love, who would get destroyed by the pace Nuggets play at.

I hope I'm wrong and this is really even, long series, but Miami needs to just shoot lights out, plus find some way to slow down Jokic.

The extended rest for the Nuggets has no signs of rust on the players. The high altitude/elevation is a factor for the Heat players.

Adam Silver said they found more information and won't release it until the finals are over.

Yes it's the wannabe gangster.

There's no way he's finished but it will be a very large suspension.

Yeah, the Morant situation looks bad and I can only see Silver saying what he said if he wanted to prep the NBA world for a large suspension.

I think it's got to go just beyond the original video and the new one... some incident we didn't know about yet, or something like the laser pointed at the Pacers bus being worse than we knew. It's also possible that there are big penalties here for the Grizzlies, if the league gave them instructions about how they were to handle things after the first incident, and they failed to do so.

It could be a year, it could be indefinite pending reinstatement upon fulfillment of a bunch of conditions.

We all know first amendment rights and all that good stuff with guns, but with people legally allowed to carry firearms, what IS the big deal with Morant carrying one (or even waiving it around in a video)? I ask because at first I was thinking he's a wannabe thug and just a plain idiot, but because it's the US, is there anything he did that's illegal, specifically from that video where he's being a doorbell?

Well just because it's not illegal in a criminal sense doesn't mean it doesn't meet the threshold needed for an employer to discipline an employee.

Also the NBA is high profile, high value business that is, like many businesses, risk averse. Having your premiere talents like Ja on social media brandishing weapons is not a good look for really any business. I also think the issue of gun violence is front and center for the NBA, and how much harm gun violence has had on the Black community in the USA. The NBA is looking to be a place trying to appeal to good values and have its employees be advocates and role models for positive socially responsible behavior. Business's can set their own code of conduct and anything thought to bring harm to the reputation of their business can and will be punished accordingly.
