Is this not a suspendable offence? Also I thought the max fine was $5k?

I like how SPORTSNET, as in the company with exclusive NHL broadcast rights in Canada, opted to simply describe the trip instead of showing a video of it.
Quote:
The trip, which came less than four minutes into the game, saw Subban come together with Zegras in a scrum in the corner. Subban leans into the hit with his left thigh behind Zegras, who had his back to Subban, and followed through with his leg, causing Zegras to fall backward to the ice. The hit was dangerously close to a slew-foot. No penalty was called on the play. Anaheim won the game, 4-0.

Yeah, my bad. Didn't even realize the video wasn't in the link.

He also has a very long history of doing this. Back to his rookie year.
He has earned the nickname PK Slewban

Max is 10k, with up to 15k for subsequent offences within a year. 5k is just the max if they don't offer a hearing

Imagine deciding that Ryan Reaves and Milan Lucic are the guys you want to play dirty.

Ya, I hope he gets his face punched in soon. He is going to injure and ruin somebody's career and possibly life. Guy is washed up and a total ass

These fines are a joke anyways. PK makes $9mil this year. If you made $60K it would be like getting fined $100.

Lost more than a step and this is the feeble attempt to try and cover up his defensive liabilities. Another year or two in the league and then he gets into broadcasting.
Montreal made out like bandits those years ago to get a guy like Weber.

If Subban injures a player with a slew-foot this season both he and the person giving out the suspensions should be suspended.

He did. Reaves has been out 4 weeks. Edit: in and out for 4 weeks?

Lucic might be too nice to make Subban pay. But Reaves ain’t.
