Day 3 (PM of July 25 - AM of July 26)
Like I mentioned yesterday in the thread I’m out of town for a few days so the threads might not be as detailed or accurate but I think I’ve got the Canadian stuff down for tonight.
The Men’s Triathlon begins at 15:30.
At 18:25 Canada’s Alex Cai competes in the Individual Men’s Foil Fencing.
At 18:30 the Men’s Rugby 7’s campaign for Canada begins with a match against Great Britain.
The Women’s Individual Sabre Fencing begins at 18:55. Canada’s Gabriella Page is scheduled to begin at 19:20.
The Women’s 100m Butterfly Final takes place at 19:30, Canada’s Maggie MacNeil will be in the event.
The Semifinals for the Women’s 100m Breaststroke will begin at 19:50. At 20:12 the Men’s 100m Breaststroke Final will begin. At 20:20 the Women’s 400m Freestyle Final will start, 14 year old Summer McIntosh will compete. The Men’s 100m Backstroke Semifinals will begin at 20:31. The Women’s 100m Backstroke Semifinals begin at 20:53. #
The Women’s Street Skateboard Street Preliminary Round is scheduled to begin at 19:58
At 20:45 Canada faces Great Britain in Field Hockey.
At 20:24 the Men’s 32kg Judo begins, Arthur Margelidon has a match scheduled for 21:24. Women’s Judo 57kg begins at 20:54 with a match for Canada’s Jessica Klimkait.
Sarah Pavan and Melissa Humana-Paredes take on a German team that is scheduled to begin at 21:00.
The Men’s 4x100m Freestyle Relay begins at 21:05 , Canada will be competing.
At 22:39 the Women’s Featherweight Boxing begins, Canada’s Caroline Veyre is scheduled to begin at 23:12.
At 22:50 Women’s Weightlifting 55kg begins, Canada’s Rachel Leblanc-Bazinet competes.
Josephine Hurlburt-Yu and Josephine Wu have a Mixed Doubles – Badminton match that’s scheduled to begin at 22:20.
Canada faces Italy in Softball at 23:30.
At 00:00 the Men’s Cross Country Mountain Cycling event begins. Also at midnight Canada’s Vincent Riendeau and Nathan Zsomber-Murray will compete in the Men’s 10m Platform Synchro Diving event.
At 02:00 Canada takes on Fiji in the Men’s Rugby 7’s.
At 02:20 Canada’s Women’s Basketball Team begins their tournament against Serbia.
At 04:02 the 200m Freestyle Swimming events begin, Penny Oleksiak swims in Heat 2, Summer McIntosh will be in Heat 4. At 04:34 the Women’s 200m Individual Medley begins, Bailey Andison is in Heat 2, Sydney Pickrem is in Heat 3. At 04:49 the Women’s 1500m Freestyle begins, Katrina Bellio will be in Heat 1.
At 04:40 Canada takes on Japan in Men’s Volleyball.
Canada faces Spain in Women’s Water Polo at 04:50.

Kylie Masse looked great in her heat as well. I’m expecting some more records to fall in the semis. Where would Canada be without our terrific female athletes.

They'd literally be in the dumpster.
Women won 72.72% (16 of 22) of the medals for Team Canada at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Willing to bet that percentage will be even higher this time around.

I mean, the statistics are right there for all to see...
The women are far better than men at the Summer Olympics. Without them, you'd be scrolling a while before you found Canada on the medal table
At the Winter Olympics, they're far more even.
