No NHL player is going to tank to lose a game. Never going to happen.

May not like or appreciate their past efforts, but every single player goes out on the ice with the intention of giving their best effort to get a win.

Well, I wanted them to lose this game.

Ottawa isn't coming back so might as well try and get 10 now.

Humbly spends most of the year on the taxi squad alert and in game shape, ready to go whenever needed. Not an easy job this year, but the guy is a great team player.

Silly Flames can't do anything right. Gonna use up 3 games worth of goals in one night and get shut out twice.

It's amazing how far he's come even just this season... watching him with the Heat earlier this year, I thought he looked a step behind the play. But he's been pretty good with the Flames.

Same thing I hear every year we miss while other teams get the MacKinnon, Barkov, Matthews, Huberdeau tier talents and we get the Monahan, Tkachuk, Baertschi tier talents.

Kylington has been meh.

Have to believe Mackey gets more of a look next year.

Probably whoever ends up getting picked right before the Flames pick. But at least we'll have a meaningless beatdown of the Senators to look fondly back on haha

My understanding is this year's draft is probably more like 2011 or 2014 than it is 2013 or 2016, but I'd still rather draft top 5 and give our amateur scouts freedom to pick their favourites than stumble up into the teens.

I think Kylington has been meh because this is his first game in a very long time. I also don't think he has been too meh - outside of his screw-up of not clearing the puck cleanly and then went chasing too much leading to that goal against. Otherwise, I think he has actually been good.

Tough to get some traction in your game when you don't get to play though.

This is the one year where, no matter where they finish, flames will finally win the draft lottery...

The fact of the matter is, the players are are supposed to go around 7/8, such as Eklund, Clarke and Johnson, are much better than the players projected to go 10/11, such as Lysell and Lucius.

The drop-off after 8 is probably the biggest in the draft.

Would rather trade this years pick for another 1st next year and then have multiple picks to use to move up for an actual #1 overall
