LOL. Gaudreau was easily my favourite player when he came in, through 2019. I hate him not at all.
The reason Monahan isn’t way up ice to negate an icing call was because he’s playing hard in his own zone. Gaudreau was cheating waaay up ice on that play. And Monahan hasn’t given up the puck - that’s your boy Johnny. The passing is just way off.

I think the puck was there when he started the hit and he just followed through a bit. It wasn’t very violent either.

Crosby and Ovechkin were the best player in the league and the best scorer in the league respectively, annually for more than a decade.
Thornton was the best player in the league maybe one or two seasons at the most.
Not even close to a generational player.

Yeah it’s a bit of a haul into the heart of the city for you. But the restaurants are plentiful. Just look at the waistline of most Houstonians!
Brodie has made some nice plays tonight. Stripping the puck a few times.
Gotta believe that’s a team that can really make good use of his skating and passing ability.

Easy peasy.

the fact that Crosby and Ovechkin played at the same time does not help your argument for Thornton

Joe is kinda like Yzerman for me, or maybe Sakic/Jagr/Forsberg/Hawerchuk. Phenomenal numbers, and maybe a bit unlucky historically as far as who else was playing in his time. Lack of a cup probably doesn’t help his cause as well.

Agreed on This, a centre should not be the one negating an icing anyways. Being they are to be support for the dman. Usually should be the last one to be leaving the zone, unless carrying the puck. Monny was where he is supposed to be on that play, if he is to be a two way centre.

Dube held up a little there - if he skates right through the D I bet he gets a call.

Mangiapane is actually one of the team’s best forwards.
