Any news on signings from other CPL clubs? I heard the Cavs were after a midfielder from another team.

Joe di Chiara is the name I've heard. I don't really see how he's a fit with the club, and I have never rated him, but a lot of people around the league think he was York's best player last year.
York and HFX have announced what is happening with every player from their 2020 squad. Pacific and Valour have each announced a half dozen signings. Nothing from Edmonton, Ottawa or Forge yet.

Anybody got a vaccine yet? I really, really want to get back in the stands for this season.

There are quite a few reports that a vaccine will be ready and starting to circulate in early 2021. Hopefully that means things loosen up for events like this next summer!

Perfect cause I want to drink some beers and spread a bunch of germs around with my friends in the stands this season.

Me too, I can't wait to wave one of the flags again, side by side with the Foot Soldiers, and get the rest of the stadium riled up and the Cavs' opponents pissed off.

Cordova, Haber and Mavila won't be back in 2021. Mavila is a big loss as I really rated his play, and I really wanted to see what a full season of Cordova could bring. Haber was exactly as advertised, a good signing in a pinch but frustrating at the best of times.

Too bad about Cordova and Mavila.
That said, we haven't seen Luca yet and Escalante will play again. Happy to have them in the fold.

There's some big holes to fill, obviously. If Farsi and Zator both don't return, plus factoring in the injuries to Minatel and Pasquotti, even more so. We could have a very, very different looking team come the spring.
But, I have faith in Tommy's ability to recruit, both within the league and abroad. I think Cavalry have a good reputation for being a professional organization and it seems like every player who's been here has genuinely appreciated the experience.

Follow up article in the Calgary Herald shedding a little more insight into the departures.
Brown was away from his fiancee and kid the last two years, so that factored into the move to Germany, along with playing time. Cordova is going back to Peru for similar reasons. Mavila is returning to England to be closer to family after a death due to COVID. Haber has an opportunity overseas. And Giantspoulos is moving to try and get more playing time.
I know Malonga was desperate to return to Cavalry last year after his a money move to China fell through, but by then it was too late. I wouldn't be a big fan of him returning, but I also wouldn't be too surprised to see him back with Cavalry.

York just announced they signed Giantsopoulos to a 2 year deal, and it sounds like he has a good shot at the #1 job. Good move for him.

He’s shone at Cavalry when he’s had the opportunity and we’ve handed him both the number 1 and a multi-year contract as a display of our belief in him.

That one stings! But Forge would have been worse. Happy for Giant and he definitely deserves a #1 spot - he's got the talent. Also happy he's sticking around in the CPL -creates league drama we can feast on!
All that said, still happy to have Carducci as our #1 backstop.

I know a lot of Footsoldiers weren't fans of Malonga, but he was a fantastic player for the Cavs. I would welcome him back with open arms if he left Plovdiv to return here. If he is paired with a speedy player with vision, he can be very effective in this league.

Wow, shocked they kept hold of Farsi, thought for sure he would be minimum in the MLS. Really should be getting interest from the smaller leagues in Europe.

Re-signing Farsi does not necessarily mean he'll be here next year. It allows the club to get a transfer fee should a bigger club come calling. Waterman was re-signed for 2020 before his transfer to the Impact.
