Def Comedy Jam is back up on Amazon Prime Video. So great seeing so many young black comedians before they made it big. Martin Lawrence is a great host too. Worth checking out if you're into raunchy stand-up humor.
Jim Gaffigan released a new two-episode? special on Amazon Prime the other day called The Pale Tourist. The first is from his tour of Canada, with most of it being Canadian-focused comedy from an American perspective. It's pretty funny even if it does rely on some standard joke fodder.

I guess not my style, that was pretty rough. But delivery aside man so many Americans are pretty serious about the idea that Coronavirus is mostly bull****. His takes on comparing Japan to America and then saying "one of those numbers is bull****, and I think we know which one" because America has much higher numbers?. Like wow, even if his delivery was funny I wouldn't be able to get past his horrendously dense takes on everything.
I was prepared to hate him based on you saying I'd hate him and yet I was won over very quickly for some reason. Now I can't stop watching. His cadence is very special.
Lol, he is amazing! "Im a parent now. I do love the kids but I'm a little disappointed. I thought there'd be a little more material in there, but they're doing fine, so there's nothing for me to work with".
Yeah, his set is so meta. It's one thing to do a bit where you parody a bad comedian, but to do it for a whole set and pull it off. I couldn't stop laughing at the bad jokes. Then he shows some real music talent at the end. Loved it.
Bump. I just got tickets to Bill Burr's return to Canada which in Vancouver is June 2022, for his "Bill Burr - Slight Return" tour. You can get tickets now if you purchase with AMEX or tomorrow when tickets go on sale to the public. Get them soon as it'll surely sell out quick! I'm totally excited for this!
