Mauro Ranallo is a huge addition to any organization that gets him. That said, I think at this point he can pick his battles. He loves calling wrestling but he also loves calling boxing/MMA. Plus he said he is going to focus on mental health charities, as well as his mother's health and his own health.
I don't think we'll see Mauro behind a wrestling commentary booth for a while.
On the flipside, WWE is about to land Stu Bennett (Wade Barrett) full-time as a commentator. That is a huge win, guy is amazing on the commentary mic.

The fact your premised this statement with "On the flipside" and not "I'm afraid I've got some... BAD NEWS" made me sad.

I loved Wade Barrett, he was completely entertaining with his "I've got some bad news for you segments".

Not a chance. Would be completely antithetical to everything AEW has stood for so far, and it's not really going to move the needle with AEW supporters.

I just read Brock's been a free agent since April and there's been no rush to bring him back with there being no fans. It's expected once there is that the two will start negotiating again.

Huh? They've grabbed just about every other WWE cast-off but wouldn't want Lesnar?
When we talk about AEW in ten years we're going to use the same tone we did with early 2010s TNA. WWE throw-aways, wrestlers having the book and way too much control and a mark owner.

Its funny because there's pretty much 9 hours of wrestling on in a week
Raw 3 Smackdown 2 AEW 2 NXT 2. But thanks to fast forwarding there is pretty much an hour or so of stuff that's watchable or interesting.
And its not just AEW WWE has a tremendously bad creative team right now.
Maybe I've lost touch with Wrestling and what it is and who its designed for.

Don’t disagree. I think much of what makes it unwatchable for now is that pretty much every character is the same...there’s just very little variety anymore.
I watched the triple threat match on raw this week between Orton, Keith Lee and “the Monday night messiah” and every entrance was exactly the same. Everyone of those guys are trying to portray the same character right now. I had to rewind it just for fun a couple of times...its quite humerous when you go back and re-watch the entrances. Same facial expressions, same poses..the music was slightly different I suppose.

Mostly because I don't think Cody/Jericho get along with Lesnar, so doubt they would bring them in when they are holding the reigns.
Speaking of Cody. To me he's just proving that WWE were right with his assessment: He's just not a main event talent.
He got a bit of a rub with fans by aligning himself with the Bullet Club in NJPW, but once again he's just proving that his ceiling is strong mid-card wrestler.
Honestly making him the focal point of Dynamite week after week, while forcing others into tag team roles makes no sense to me.
Cody Rhodes: 20 singles matches in 2020
Kenny Omega: 4 singles matches in 2020
Adam Page: 1 singles match in 2020
Makes no sense to me that you have one of the best singles wrestlers in the world, a guy that main evented the Tokyo Dome in NJPW and you have him floundering in the mid-card.

How Kenny Omega is being used is one of the worst things about AEW at the moment. I am not sure what they are waiting for but Kenny is among the best - if not THE best - wrestler in the world. He's 36 and in his prime. I don't know what they're waiting for. Guy should be the face of the company at this point.

No, no, guys hear me out.
Rather than have the best singles wrestler in the company, possibly the world, as the big main event draw for our promotion... wouldn't it be awesome to have him in a tag team that is basically two singles guys together rather than an actual team. Oh and his partner isn't part of his stable, but he'll have a drunken cowboy gimmic because 'stable'... get it?
Oh, then, THEN to fill the top of the card we'll take a really interesting cult and surprise everyone with a boring corporate suit. No one would see that coming, and we'll feed him to our champion.
Oh and then bring in a monster, and to be sure he gets over we'll have his manager the best promo wrestler in history... then... bury him in the mid-card.
Come on guys, don't you know anything about entertainment?!

Is it possible the founding talent is bending over backwards to not book themselves to the top of the card to allow other performers to shine? Maybe they learned some things from several combined lifetimes spent in and around pro wrestling?
Nah. They must be aimless and grasping.

Disagree. Omega is their top star, followed closely by Moxley. I understand that they're developing other talent, but Omega is a one-of-a-kind wrestler that sets the benchmark for the anti-WWE wrestling world. He was a mega star in Japan, and is one of the top wrestlers in the world. It's not that he's being misused, it's that he's not being used enough in a role that highlights what he can actually bring to the table.
Attending Wrestle Kingdom several times has taught me that that Omega is capable of so much more, and as a viewing fan, I want to see more that what's he's bringing in AEW.

Tony Khan is way more arrogant than I thought, saying all out blew wrestlemania out of the water is a bit much
It was like 2 months later, and they borrowed heavily from the cinematic matches at WM
Plus I just don't think it was better

They're starting to buy into their own hype.
Of the Elite, the only one who should be front and center is Omega and he's the only one who is taking a reserved step back like a wrestler with the book should. It's ####ed up.

Omega getting a VP role shouldn't cloud the fact that the guy is a big draw, especially for the international crowds. I see a lot of similarities to being the "Bret Hart" of the company (with better charisma) and they need to nurture that.
Cody and the Bucks are big draws but not "Top Guys". The only ones who can do that for AEW at the moment are Moxley and Jericho (even Jericho is debatable at this point), with MJF right around the corner. I suspect they also have big plans for Adam Page, but the jury is out on his ceiling.
I would still love to see AEW work something out with NJPW, even though it's a long shot. The cross-promotion would be incredible, and the potential match-ups and rivalries would be endless.
