I feel like viewing a video of the entire interaction between the victim and the cop precludes me from being a blind hater. It's the actions that make me 'hate' the thug of a police officer. His impatience and willful intention to escalate a situation resulting in a person bleeding from his head for no reason, that's what makes me 'hate' him. And many more who have condemned the actions of the officer. Like a lot of people.
You closing your eyes and refusing to acknowledge this as police brutality is blind supporting. Like I said, and far more confident now, that's part of the problem.
Just because you're confident doesn't make you right. But keep trying!!
I think I've been extremely clear throughout this entire thread where I stand. I certainly do not deserve nor need to be berated by the likes of Oling on this subject.
Was just curious on clarity regarding that comment, as this is a big thread, and I haven't paid attention to every single person's every single post, nor every single person's position, honestly.
Oling might be a dog on the bone, but you took it personally and continued to make it personal. I don't think replying with condescending nonsense is the quickest way to stop yourself from being "berated" by a poster, but that's just me.
I also don't know what Oling has to do with your answer to my question?

Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer charged in the murder of George Floyd, has also been charged along with his wife with nine counts of felony tax evasion.
The Washington County prosecutor's office announced Wednesday that Chauvin and his wife, Kellie May Chauvin, face charges of underreporting their joint income from 2014 through 2019 by $464,433, including more than $95,000 that Derek Chauvin earned from off-duty security work.

At a WNBA game today both teams simply walked off the floor as their anthem protest and Twitter is a battleground over whether or not this is disrespectful. Personally I'm not a fan and would rather a collective kneel or raised fist. To me it's become a situation where people are just trying to out-do each other in their efforts to pretend they care. Thoughts?
Does it really matter what people do while a song is playing?

I don't see anything wrong with their protest whatsoever. And as the post above mentioned, it simply doesn't matter. I'd say there are much more pressing issues in that country right now that need to be addressed.

Of course there are, but this thread has devolved into people bickering over nothing. It doesn't matter for this specific WNBA game, but as you recall anthem protests overall have been a huge part of this overall saga up to the presidential level. They absolutely matter.

Nah. The MAGA cult might make a big stink about them, but the rest of humanity really doesn't give a crap.
Keep going Oling, you've almost convicted me of a social crime I didn't commit. You're almost there little buddy! I believe in you!

This is actually not remotely what he said if you watch the clip, but why bother living in reality when you can make #### up.

As long as it's women and not black people we're making fun of, this joke is fine with me.
The thing is...I'm pretty sure the only reason the NHL is even bothering to try and finish the season is because they have third-party financial obligations that they cant defer or re-negotaite.
The WNBA almost certainly doesnt.
So one is re-initiating their season because theres a gun to their head and the other is....just because?
