CBC reporting that everyone at the rally are being offered masks, but hardly anyone is wearing them. They're also not required to wear them once they're inside the arena.
They interviewed a couple of MAGA cult members waiting in line, and holy smokes these people are dumb. They're not worried about the virus at all, and say that the country was shut down for too long. Meanwhile, cases continue to spike in multiple states across the U.S., including Tulsa. Enjoy your second wave, morons.

If the organizer has that right, the police don't have much choice once she's requested to leave and refuses. It's still awful though, for a president's campaign to just mirror the president's lack of respect for peaceful protest.

She went to a White Supremacist rally in what's basically a BLM T-shirt. Damn, that's gutsy.

In some ways not being concerned about the virus at the Rally is reasonable. If you live in a state which is not keeping the R-value below one and letting a second wave happen your actions will do little to prevent you from getting it. Mask wearing prevents others from getting sick and not you.
So even if 1000 people get infected from the rally and go onto infect 100,000 down the line the action of each individual doesn’t matter. If they didn’t attend the rally someone would have taken their place so no change in societal risk.
It’s a tragedy of the commons that can only be solved through regulation

In this area this isn’t the second wave starting it’s actually the first wave starting and/or continuing.

I still would like to know the full story behind Trump and Epstein, if we ever do get the full story.
Berman was looking into way too many legit issues for a dictator wannabe like Trump to let him continue. Gotta squash the truth from coming out while you can.

So Trump fires the attorney who just happens to be investigating Trump and several of his corrupt cronies? That seems like pretty clear obstruction of justice to me. How is this even legal? Doesn't Berman's replacement have to be confirmed by the Senate first?

The Justice Department and the Senate have already demonstrated that that doesn't matter, so why would he not do exactly this?

Woman has a ticket to the event, is on public property and her only disruption is her t-shirt, apparently. Let her stay. By arresting her you’re making her a symbol.

Arresting the dissenting opinion is the symbol they want.

Lol, Trump is now denying that he was involved in firing Berman. What a clown show.
https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/20/polit...ays/index.html
Quote:
President Donald Trump on Saturday denied firing Geoffrey Berman, the powerful prosecutor atop the Manhattan US Attorney's office, shortly after his attorney general sent Berman a letter saying the President had done so.
Attorney General William Barr's letter on Saturday said Trump had fired Berman after he refused Barr's effort a day prior to oust him.
|
Quote:
Trump, however, speaking to reporters shortly after Barr's letter was made public, said, "That's his department, not my department." He added: "I'm not involved."
|
Quote:
Republicans on Capitol Hill were blindsided by the late Friday night effort by Barr to seek the ouster of Berman and showed little willingness to confirm a new nominee without Democratic support -- meaning there is a real possibility that Clayton's nomination could languish and Berman could stay at the post indefinitely.
The fast-moving developments seemed to catch by surprise Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham, a close ally of Trump's and Barr's, who said Saturday he had not been told about the effort to fire Berman.
And in a significant announcement Saturday, Graham announced that he will honor tradition to let home-state senators sign off on a replacement for Berman's post, meaning that Democrats essentially have veto power over a replacement to a position considered the most powerful US attorney job in the country.

So Barr says Bermancan be removed by the President, which he was.
The President then denies this.
So, did Trump just save Berman's job?

I have to admit I'm getting pretty excited for the big rally. I wish we could hear all the warm up acts but CNN keeps talking over them. Damn fake news.

He should make the clown admit to firing him and the reason(s) why, stepping down is like quitting a job and getting no severance.

The overflow area isn't even a trickle.
It's just the start though so I guess wait until Trump's speaking.

They've cancelled the overflow presentations due to lack of people.
