I don’t know how I made it through 4 rounds of this back then.

Love how the Flames just went right back to work after Vancouver tied it. This team was such a fun, hard working bunch.

Seems crazy that Reggie was on the PP given his shortcomings offensively.
Goes to show the lack of depth we had on D. Leopold was great offensively, and Lydman was hurt until the finals. Everyone else were hard working defensive Dmen.

Reggie had an under rated wrist shot and early in his career he was great at getting his shot through from the point.

I know how.
Because that team was so much fun to watch, even when they lost. You just knew that they'd come back in the next game, flying. The effort on that roster was unbelievable. They played an uptempo game but could still play rough. There was just no quit in that team.
I didn't want them to stop playing, not just because winning was fun, but because it was an absolute joy to watch them play.

Sure, but again it speaks to how much the position has changed.
Prime Regehr would likely be the 6th best Dman option on today's Flames PP.

Thinking of this game reminds me exactly who I will be voting for greatest Flames to wear #23 when we get there.
