Huh, I didn't expect this week's twist.
Cheesy, painful acting, poor writing, but I still am interested in the overall story so I guess I keep watching.

I don't even know what I'm watching anymore, but it isn't Star Trek.

I thought that was the best episode so far, but I know that doesn't say much. It was also better because the hipster Romulan wasn't in it.

I think they've fallen into the trap where they have too much stuff happening at the same time, maybe to distract us from the main vast conspiracy that is probably happening between the Tal Shiar or however you spell it and the Romulans.
I'll keep watching, it has its moments, but its a bit of a let down the last couple of weeks.

I thoroughly enjoyed that episode and thought it was a step up from the previous week. The addition of 7 of 9 was fun, and I'm hoping we'll see more of her in the coming episodes.

I thought uber-French Picard was pretty funny. They have been going kind of Walking Dead with the gore.

This is pretty much how I felt. In fact, I didn't really know how to feel after this episode. But I'm still in it for the bigger picture.

That's the Alex Kurtzman effect. Can Star Trek get a competent showrunner that respects and builds on the material like Kevin Feige plz?

Watch some of his interviews it becomes instantly apparent why Picard is the way it is.

What I have learned from numerous threads in the entertainment section on movies and tv shows is that I am really lucky to be easily entertained. I suppose I am lowest common denominator.
I enjoy the show and will continue watching. Love seeing Seven, although I miss the form fitting suit... I enjoy the straight edge ninja "Oh, are we not pretending any more?".
I suppose the only thing I didn't really like about the most recent episode was the doctor getting nervous about operating the transporter, but I suppose that had to be in there to set up the EMH appearing when she was killing the other dude in sick bay.

ugh, this show is starting to lose me. It needs to find its footing pretty quickly.
I might save up a few weeks worth of episodes and see if watching them all together makes for a plot.

I tend to believe that this was meant to provide closure of the 7 of 9 story. She came back gained her humanity. Revenged herself and went down guns blazing. Star Trek likes to leave questions, so they won't rush her back if at all.

I wonder if we are just warming up to a string of cameo episodes...weren't there a few other TNG characters in the initial previews?

Next up Riker, who after his disastrous stint as Captain of the Titan that re-spawned the Federation MeToo movement and exhausted Star Fleet HR, he returned to Earth and took up a new career as the executive officer of an Arby's in Iowa.

This, of course, is also implying that intergalactic gangsters watch the UFP's equivalent to CNN.

She gave Picard that chip in order to contact her. I am pretty sure she will be back next season for one or two episodes. I rather have a series around 7 of 9, it seems like it would be more fun.

Except she's still a pretty cringeworthy actress. Even last night the more emotionally charged 7 of 9 was still cardboard.

Pretty sure it wouldn't be as flattering with current her in the old suit.
