IIRC it is only Attack of the Clones that can't be converted to 4K because it was the only one not filmed with high enough quality since it was early digital while the other prequels at least had a 35mm print.

Can someone confirm you CANNOT download a desktop app and watch offline?
Can someone confirm if they will ever introduce it?
I prefer to watch offline on my laptop vs my phone (on planes) and I would rather not have to lug a tablet around too.

As far as I can tell you cannot download onto a desktop/laptop.

Will Disney provide access to the unaltered version of the trilogies? The coveted VHS/Laserdiscs versions.

I'm sure they will be available, but they want to sell some physical copies first

Probably the standard 7-8 months after initial theatrical release.
I believe that Endgame is the most-recent theatrical film on Disney+. It came out on April 26.

The Despecialized editions are hands-down the best way to experience the original trilogy, and they'll never be on Disney+

There’s a feedback option. When I submitted my request for 4:3 Simpsons I also asked for theatrical versions of the original trilogy. Or I said they can just upload the despecialized versions. They're so good.
Neither is likely to happen but it was worth a shot.

Disney was projecting 8 million subscribers by the end of 2019.. it hit 10 million in 24 hours.
So far very happy with the content. My kids been watching Rescue Rangers and Tail Spin and it is glorious.

I couldn't find any info on them releasing a desktop app where you can download shows and watch offline.
Anyone have any info? Really want to watch on my laptop.

I was able to download The Mandalorian. Got the app while I was on a layover in Chicago and watched the first episode while on the plane.

This is getting a lot of coverage, so maybe..hopefully. Weird decision though. They're literally cutting off jokes by doing that.

See how those numbers stabilize after the week preview and first month is over. Right now I can't see myself staying after one week, perhaps once they get a bigger catalogue of new programs.
