Leahy indicates that one can travel a highway in Alberta and be inside the oilsands region for 500 miles, bombarded by industrial destruction the entire way.
Just straight up lies

The latest edition of the long-standing photo monthly carries an anti-Canadian oil piece that’s so biased and unscientific that’s it’s almost funny. Almost!
Sale shows big loss in investment value of China-backed Alberta oil project
A Chinese company's $817-million investment in a northern Alberta heavy oil project nine years ago has collapsed in value to less than $80 million, based on the price its Canadian partner has negotiated for the sale of its majority stake.
.... CIC made its investment in PROP in June 2010 when Obsidian was a much bigger company called Penn West Energy Trust. Along with its $817 million, CIC bought $435 million worth of Penn West trust units, later converted to shares which Obsidian says appear to have been sold about three years ago.
You know what is more likely to leak than a new pipeline? An old one. Stupid ####ing morons.
Because it's not about safety or common sense, it's about hemming in Canada's oil. Targeted economic attack, it's not a coincidence in the midst of a pipeline boom in the US Keystone and this one are the projects being sued and denied permits constantly. "Honor the Earth" and "Friends of the Headwaters" sued this project, I wonder who has been scratching them cheques, big mystery there.
Old news, but wow. I wonder if there is any way this could happen without Gwyn Morgan knowing about it ahead of time. He always seemed like a "good guy".
Eagle Spirit Energy Corridor proponents say they still want to proceed with the plan. This one will be fun to watch. And a giant FU to Trudeau and his tanker ban and a kick in the nuts to Canadian jobs if they build the tanker facility in Alaska.
Guess the string pullers are worried that they might not get lucky with the same group suing for a second time about improper consultations, better have a good back up plan in the form of a completely disingenuous whale law suit as well. Keep throwing #### against and seeing what sticks, it only takes one judgement to hold this thing up another year. Apparently the Trudeau government can pass legislation to insulate this project from these nuisance suits which would figure to be a good protection for their investment but I'd be surprised if we see that.
