When the Flames lose opening night the the Canucks, may I recommend we don't burn the forum to the ground?

That depends on whether Mackinnon and friends lay another smackdown on them in the season opener.

I kind of like having a statement game right out of the gate. If things work out there is the potential to keep it rolling early.

I'll bet the Flames end up embarrassing Colorado 6-0 or something like that, which will make that 1st round loss sting even more.

So what you are basically saying is you would rather lose?
Also, F off with home openers against Vancouver or Edmonton. It's boring at this point.

Divisional and close by proximity. It is what it is. I am dying to see the rest of the schedule though. Apparently tomorrow the entire schedule is released.

a couple of hue games with potential playoff implications right out of the blocks. Flames should have the revenge factor going for them v colorado.
Is someone going to start a pre-game thread for that today?

So, the opening night game is a regional broadcast? That’s dumb.
Also, will the Flames ever again start the season on home ice?

No Oilers games until after Christmas, or as it's otherwise known, Oiler tanking season.
Those early-season games where the Oilers are actually still trying are the worst.
