Grubauer is no joke either.

Girard potentially being injured could really help the flames. Avs D is pretty thin already.

The Flames have learned what happens when you get outworked in a playoff game. No one in sitting in that room going "Good effort man".

I expect the Flames to have a good bounce back in the next game.

Bennett though was awesome.

Mike Smith is the only reason the Flames are tied going back to Dever. This is not a formula for success in the playoffs. Top line needs to be a lot better.

And there goes home ice.

As soon as Grubauer made that save at the end there, I had a bad feeling. Then MacKinnon got the puck and...well, that's the end of that one.

Gotta give props to the Avs who played the game of their lives tonight and were rewarded as a result. MacKinnon put the team on his back and his line essentially won that game by themselves.

Flames didn't start playing well until very late in the 3rd period. Hopefully this game teaches them a lesson that you can't take your foot off the gas in the playoffs. Not even for a minute. They know they'll have to be better moving forward, and I have no doubt that they will.

Buckle up, folks. We've got ourselves a series.

Unless you only tuned in for OT, you’re delirious. We were completely dominated all game.

If we had non-godmode Smith in net we may have lost by a TD.

You must have tuned in during OT if you don’t think the Flames were dominated.

Johnny Gaudreau needs to take a leaf out of Nathan MacKinnon's book. Their star is playing like a dominant force. Gaudreau is playing like just another player.

If that continues, I'm not sure the Flames will come out of Game 3 with a series lead.

What series does look like a favorite against a much inferior team?

Take off the homer glasses. The Flames played like crap for 60 minutes. The only period they played well was OT.

On a positive note, we almost won the game playing our worst, while the Av's played one of their better games.

I actually do.

I thought the avs played their absolute best and still needed an en goal and OT goal to win tonight.

This isn't the nba, Mackinnon can't play 25 mins amd win the game himself.

The main question i have is, can he?

I've just watched that replay 20 times, and I'm almost certain the puck did not go it. It was the crossbar.

I wouldn’t count on their top line getting tired, in the hopes it’ll help us win. They have been strong all year.

Our top line is no match for them, especially with the way they are playing. Seems like put top line is basically our 3rd/fourth line these days as far as effectiveness. Lindholm has both PP and PK duties so it’s hard to blame him. Johnny and Monny both need to step up. My fear has always been their ability to play when the going gets tough and the ability to get in the middle of the ice becomes tighter, to go along with tighter checking.

Unfortunately it was just that good of a shot.
