But you have to imagine if Muellers report has some damning stuff in there, any investigation is just going to daylight it?
The report will never be released in its entirety.

At this point, you have to believe that this entire farce is being orchestrated by the White House. They force an end to the Mueller investigation behind the scenes and release only the parts of it that make Trump look good, giving him cover to crack down on the media and his political enemies. The slow slide into authoritarianism and dictatorship continues...

Yes, but hopefully Congress gets Mueller to testify, under oath and in public, and he can talk about what he wrote that isn't being released.

Also William Barr's interpretation of the report is just that. Interpretive messaging. He will also be allowing the White House to redact the report before it gets released to anyone else. Basically it's so anyone who doesn't look beyond the surface of a news item (i.e. the vast majority of the voting public) will have a degree of doubt and claim Trump was already exonerated...

The US is a banana republic and William Barr is part of the Trump cover up under a veneer of legacy Republican respectability.

Quote:
South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham said Tuesday that Attorney General William Barr told him he will send the special counsel Robert Mueller's final report on the Russia investigation to the White House before the public sees it, in case they want to make executive privilege claims over any parts of it.

Graham, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee, also said Barr told him it will likely take "weeks, not months" to get a version of Mueller's final report out to the public.

Barr on Sunday released his own summary of Mueller's report, which found that there was no evidence that the Trump campaign conspired with Russia during the 2016 election. Mueller declined to come to a conclusion on whether Trump obstructed justice in the Russia probe and instead laid out all the evidence prosecutors had collected before handing in his findings to Barr and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

Barr and Rosenstein then concluded that there was not sufficient evidence to determine that Trump obstructed justice. Their conclusion alarmed legal experts, who said Barr's past comments on the obstruction inquiry may have compromised his ability to make impartial decisions about that aspect of the investigation.

"having kids is the solution to global warming" has to be high on the madness scale. Like, Jim Inhofe snowball high.

Didn’t see it mentioned but I haven’t been in the thread for a couple days...Another thing happened Monday. Alabama Rep Mo Brooks (GOP) decided it was a good idea to read directly from Mein Kampf on the Congress floor....

He is comparing the democrats to Hitler here. The irony is that the big lie is what republicans have done for years.

Ya he didn’t understand the analogy he was actually making by reading the passage he did was Hitler accused Jewish people of the Big Lie to condemn and demonize them while being the actual one telling the big lie.

But the audacity of reading that in the first place. But this is apparently not the first time he’s read from that book at various points in his political career. He’s also talked about the Dems ongoing “war on whites” on multiple occasions.

Lol, wow. What a disaster that country is right now. Just when you think it can't get any more bats**t insane, Trump and the GOP continue to top themselves every single day. It's astonishing, really.

Reagan on a dinosaur firing an SMG is pretty badass though. If he wanted to demonstrate absurdity he should have pictured Trump doing something manly.

Can't see it, too risky for 2020...possibly in the future though.

Dems need a safe choice, had they made one last time we wouldn't be in this mess

The clean cut, midwestern, solider, who was winning elections in Mike Pence Indiana with 80% of the vote seems like a safer bet than the one term United States senator from Chicago who is of African decent with a dictator's middle name.

Mike Pence Indiana?? He won a mayor's race in a liberal college town with 8,500 votes.
