Yeah it was a CPer that started it.

I just sold two sets of tickets via the website. Great service and with no commission (so far), there is a big financial advantage to using the website. Great job Den!

I know this thread kind of died down but I need a clear answer. Is Fanfirst legit? I'm flying into Calgary soon and I'm looking for cheap tickets and Fanfirst has some amazing prices for tickets. Should I buy from them?

Yup, very legit. Got my tickets for Iggy's retirement from them with no issues

Got tickets for the Flames vs Sharks home game in early Feb. Tickets were delivered. Seats were as advertised. Had no issues whatsoever.

Short answer: yes

I have sold several pairs of my season tickets through them over the last couple of months. Very friendly and efficient to deal with and I like that they are a local start-up business.

I bought tickets from them for the Iggy retirement game. They actually sent me an email afterwards saying something happened and they weren't able to deliver the tickets I had purchased, but replaced them with tickets in the same section closer to the ice for the same price. I was impressed with the customer service.

A limitation of such websites is people will be listing through multiple sources. Let's say someone has listed it through Ticketmaster and fansfirst and the Ticketmaster tickets get bought. The seller has to manually update it on the website to say that they are not available. Tiktiks had the same limitation.

Good to see fansfirst have good customer service.

Very curious, as I haven't used such a sight, but what are the benefits of this site (or ones like it) to you as the seller of tickets, and the buyers of tickets, versus just re-selling or buying your tickets through the Flames / ticketmaster?

By not using Ticketmaster, both the Buyer and Seller win by saving on fairly high fees that Ticketmaster charges. Ticketmaster charges both sides (the buyer and the seller).

This - Ticketmaster this year is double dipping and the fees are very high now. In the end it doesn't matter to the buyer as long as they get the price they want but my guess is prices on Fansfirst will be lower than on Ticketmaster by quite a bit on average.

Not using Ticketmaster is enough for me to use this! I loathe Ticketmaster.

I've also bought tickets to 4 games through CP and had no problems AND no fees. One seller even accepted a best offer on a last-minute sale. Only problem is sometimes waiting to receive communication back from the seller about whether tickets are still available.

Thumbs up

fansfirst.ca is pretty smooth. They essentially middleman the tickets for you but you still get ticketmaster transferred seats. I hope it catches on...

Here is the message I received for the game tonight:

"Your tickets are on their way. The original season ticket holder has been informed and will deliver the tickets within 24 hours (or ASAP if the game is today). Don't worry - we guarantee you are going to the game. If they don't respond or don't deliver the tickets in time we will find equal or better tickets well before game-time. If you have any concerns or want to check on the status of your tickets you can live chat with us using the icon in the bottom right or call/text us anytime"

Cp and Fanfirst.ca are my go to to find tickets. There is never a better deal anywhere else for tickets. Any other sites are overpriced, U.S. Dollars or have high fees attached to the tickets.

CP is definitely the best place to buy for low price tickets. The problem is if you want to go to popular games (Leafs, Canadiens, Oilers or Playoffs) you won't be able to buy seats because they go for over face value.

It's nice to have fanfirst as a back up for those games since fees become ridiculously high when price gets higher. You're paying up to 70 dollars in fees and taxes when prices of tickets go higher than 200 dollars on TM and stubhub.
