It is so strange because I love Dube due to his motor, work ethic, leadership etc. Though he is very skilled I have always seen him as a high end 3rd/4th line player, but after watching him in both the NHL and AHL this season I think we should be incredibly excited. It is so nice to be making such quality Draft picks LATER in the draft as a team. We will need these players on ELC's if we want to stay relevant.

All that Dube is missing in the NHL is strength. Fortunately, that can be rectified with gym time.
Valimaki with an assist, Dube with 2. I believe Dube is one of 3 AHL rookies producing at or over a ppg level. 2016 #8 draft pick Alex Nylander has 25 pts in 44 games, Dube has 27 in 26 and he was drafted 56 in the same draft. Dube’s AHL production has to be seen as a huge success by Flames management.

From what I’ve read about Dube’s personality I bet he’s burning inside that he’s in the AHL and using it for extra motivation.

For those of you that watch Stockton, how has Matt Taormina gone from being one of the highest scoring defenseman in the AHL to only 4 points in 24 games this season?
