Its a long shot but Mathew Robertson would be an excellent pick, he moves well and has size, and he has an offensive upside. I doubt that he drops to the Flames in the end though.
I would think they're looking for guys that can make an impact in the next three years. That's likely a forward.

Looks like only one player in the top 80 is over 6'4. Alex Vlasic is 6'5, and he doesn't seem too convincing to me. Comparatively, 16 players are under 5'11.
Gone are the days of huge players becoming busts in the 1st round?

Pronman's 2019 NHL Draft midseason rankings are up.

Could have swore that 21 to 31 range was loaded with D before, now it's all forwards.

I am glad that the Flames kept their 1st rounder. Gotta say, I am pumped to follow the draft this year.

It's definitely more exciting when you have some higher picks.

I’m excited Treliving still has all these assets for more draft wizardry.

The Flames currently have 5 picks in the 2019 draft

1st (CGY)
3rd (CGY)
4th (NYI)
5th (CGY)
7th (CAR)

The Flames traded their 2019 2nd to NYI in the Hamonic deal, their 2019 4th to MTL for Montreal's 2018 4th (Milos Roman), and their 2019 6th to CAR in the Eddie Lack trade.

The planets would have to align for them but I just thought... if Colorado missed the playoffs, they could possibly get two picks in the top four if they won a draft lottery spot with their pick and Ottawa won another lottery pick. Yikes!

Itll be nice to have a high 2nd round pick lol. But I think that puck is traded for a goalie. Just a hunch.

Deep draft for centers it looks like. We could probably snag a decent d prospect or take a swing on a Russian winger or something.

Centers and D men are going to dominate 4-28 I think.

Everything i've read says that there is a ton of quality centres in this draft. Of course all the complete players will be taken before the Flames, but a few centres might fall on our lap because not all teams draft the BPA and will draft according to need.
