He's free to go down without waivers as long as he doesn't play more than 10 games or spend more than 30 days on the roster.

He’s been a good soldier this year, really hope he’s rewarded. Glad to see he got the call.

Either way, wouldn't the flames want Lazar as an option for the playoffs - or at least want to know if he is a legit option for the playoffs if one or two or three players go down with injury. I think they would want to know if Lazar could step in - and if he steps in, does he step in after or before Maniapane? After or before Lomberg? Quine? Dube? Czarnik? etc.

That means, Lazar needs to be up at least 5-10 games BEFORE the deadline so you know if Lazar can now hack it at the NHL level. If so, then he stays up. If not, then he gets traded. You can't call him up too soon, because if you then have to send him down, you might lose him to waivers. You also don't want to call him up too late, because then you don't know what you got with him.

So I would speculate that Lazar comes up in early February and gets 8-10 games in before the deadline.

I guess it’s already apparent to him. He needs to make it apparent to the coaches now.

I like it - I think his speed and physicality will look better under Peters' system.

I'm pulling for him. I think he's a good guy to have in the locker room, skates hard, has good energy and if he could just hit the next level he would could be a good bottom six player. He needs to play well in this call up as the team could use a spark.

I feel his energy will be a good spark for the team. It will also be interesting to see him play with better players on Line 4 . Might even be fun to put him with Bennett and Jankowski

Looks like he has done really well in the AHL. I'm really rooting for him.

Why?

Neither of them have shown us anything over eat bread.

Lol eat bread has shown next to nothing compared to either of those. Lazar was our best fourth line forward last season. Watch a game.

Cheering for this guy big time. Hope he can be a contributor in the middle 6 and let the Flames avoid having to pick up a rental.
