I wonder if Neil is back if he's in the press box against the Wings as he wasn't very good tonight.

Yeah, it’s definitely not about blaming Rittich - but goalies can find ways to stop those shots, and he has done so a lot this season. No reason to be too hard on Rittich, he just didn’t have his best night.

I'm more convinced than ever that James Neal is our lucky charm player.

well, Calgary needs to pick it out versus Little Brother on Saturday...

hope this loss motivates them even more... need Benny to run amok like the first game they played

edit: realized the wings are the next game

Unless a goalie lets in an absolute stinker, you just can't go goal by goal and say should have had that one, no goalie saves that one etc.

On balance Rittich had an off night and was outplayed by the other guy. It happens, the damage is limited to one point and hopefully the team got a little cold water on their face for the last few games before all star break.

And I'm sure Gaudreau wants that 3 on 1 back.

Flames can’t win when the real deal James Neal doesn’t play

I really don’t see how it’s ridiculous to claim that their line won the matchup.
Because their team was dominated...they had 3 shots as a team in 23 minutes
"ran their show" is ridiculous. It may be the only time in history a team scored every shot they took in the 3rd and OT.

And how the hell are you blaming Backlund's line for overtime?

Always a scary proposition hoping for help from a team like the Coyotes.

He just had 4 days off. I doubt he's tired.

See. Sharks lose to a team they should beat too. Happens to em all. At least the Flames get a point.

My edit...not fast enough

But the Flames got a point, because they're a real contender.
