If you take Smith out of the equation, yes, yes they could.
Even with him they could as long as Rittich keeps playing well. Once the playoffs start you go with one guy and as long as he doesn't get injured the only time you play the other goalie is if your starter struggles and the game is decided anyway.

That’s my favourite part about when we have a good team. Listening to the different ways Oilers fans try to deal with our success, it’s the most satisfying part!
Should see how salty some got at those kids with the 'losers' shirt at the Boston game. Oilers fans are about as bad as their team.
Stajan was the same way - he'd go a month between points but still end up at a 53% expected goals because there were no chances for either team with him on the ice.
This is more valuable than some people realize as well, being able to run out 4th liners that can avoid getting their head kicked in all game long is not something every team has.

SN posted a side-by-side production stats comparison for Lindholm/Hanifin vs. Ferland/Hamilton from the start of the season. I wish I took a quick shot of it. Very telling...
Something like 70 Calgary 30 Hurricanes in points.

Rittich was fantastic combined with a really good performance from our 2nd line and the Flames steal a game on the road. It’s what good teams do and this is a very good team.
I’m still optimistic Neal figures this out. Which likely makes me certifiably insane.

I've given up waiting and anticipating. When he does, he does....
Might be next year at this rate.

Ferland has been injured but has been very good for the most part, Dougie a bit underwhelming of course. All in all the return of the trade has actually been decent for Carolina, but it's been absolutely out of this world for Calgary. That trade has made such an impact on this team, it might even be a defining moment for Treliving as a GM.
He's also a kickass meteorologist. I wonder how much actual weather knowledge that chick has compared to him I'll take David Spence any day.
Granted, I'm a meteorologist myself so I hold my "weather people" to a rather high standard.
It's fascinating to see how men refer to a female counterpart with a derogatory term "chick" , I often wonder, will those same people refer to a male counterpart such as David Spence with a term "roost"?
Just an observation
