1 up and 1 down as far as Canadian results are concerned - Bianca Andreescu defeats Timea Babos in straight sets (6-4 7-6) to advance in Auckland while Felix unfortunately lost his match to Dr. Ivo Karlovic in Pune 6-4 7-5

So many great story lines heading into the year! Hopefully Nadal can make it an even dozen French Open titles and hopefully Canada wins at least one grand slam!

Dr. Ivo?
Did he go to evil medical school?

Dr. Ivo — The height, the serve, mostly the name, lent itself to shortening Ivo Karlovic down to Dr. Ivo, with a nod to DC Comics’ Professor Ivo and Dr. Evil (to me, anyway).

Can't wait for the ATP to kick dbag Kyrgios off the tour this year.
Piece of crap should never be allowed to step on a professional court ever again.

Watching Bouchard interact with her coach in between breaks... holy crap is she mental. There is no way she will ever be a top player ever again. Completely superior against this dutchgirl and it's going deep into the 3rd set.
Bouchard's coach. "it's your effing attitude!" haha

Milos will face Medvedev next on Friday as he dispatched Andy Murray in straight sets (7-5 6-2). Also, Rafa pulled out of the Brisbane tourney which casts some doubts on whether or not he'll play the Aussie Open.

I just hope she sticks with her current coach as she is playing much better in the past few months and her ranking has risen from #188 to #79. She did manage to come back from a set down to win the match against Schoofs. Upcoming match against Goerges will be a tough one, though.

haha. Thats if the coach doesn't quit first. They kept panning to him everytime she started to whine and he was shaking his head in disbelief. There was a few times someone even patted him on the back to console him...
I watched the entire match. She was up 5-3 on Schoofs with a set point in the opening set and crumbled. Bouchard should have won 6-2 6-1. Me and you could have served harder than Schoofs.
I really liked that they could coach in between breaks. They were dropping fbombs like crazy in the 2nd set.

Bianca Andreescu takes on Caroline Wozniacki tonight in Auckland - Bianca's back has been giving her some issues, hopefully she can give Woz a run for her money.
