Anyone catch that Dahlin hit on simmonds? I would hope if Gio’s shin on shin trip got a suspension that does as well. Seemed like shoulder to head contact
Edit: on second look it doesn’t seem that malicious

Yep. Shoulder to shoulder on player without puck. Classic interference

One of the angles looked worse than the others. Pretty fun game so far, both goalies making great saves

It’s amazing how good Giroux is for someone who is not big or fast. Such a talented player, so underrated. Would be interested to see how he would do in a less dysfunctional organization

They were talking this morning on NHL radio about Phil Housley for Jack Adams. No mention of Peters.
I wouldn't be surprised if Buffalo misses the playoffs.

I think the Sabres are also without their #1 goalie Hutton for a bit now, so they could continue on their downward spiral still.

Buffalo has 4 OT wins, 3 SO wins, and 4 loser points. They have 10 regulation wins, and a goal differential of +3
Conversely, the Flames have 2 OT wins, 0 SO wins, and 2 loser points. They have 16 regulation wins and are +20.
Their records might be similar, but the Flames have been significantly better. And there is a lot more reason to believe it will continue for the Flames.

Since 2009-10 (his first full season) he is 4th in league scoring, trailing only Crosby, Ovechkin, and Kane.
Remarkable player.

The Knights and Kings have not met yet this year, but will now play 4 times in 24 days.

Amazing, his least season was unreal as well. You never hear his name mentioned as one of the leagues best. Quietest 100 pt season that I can remember

They build themselves a pretty nice cushion, but the way they are finding ways to lose right now is troubling. I hope they can find a way to hang on.

It's a great story and would love to see them get in, their fans deserve it.
I just can't see them beating out Boston. Tampa and the Leafs are a lock.
Maybe they get the wildcard.

The wildcard should be very attainable - I don't see the Habs as a huge threat. PIT maybe - you can never count them out.
Great to see them pushing up the standings though - perennial losers are just that - losers
