New Dark Phoenix trailer has leaked online and I must admit it looks pretty good. Makes me sad this is the last time we will see Fox make an X-Men team up film
LOL! It was shot on a cell phone in Russian, through 2 theatre seats. If Fox was responsible for leaking this they should fire their head of marketing ASAP.

Or promote him because who would suspect him?
Is he crazy? Maybe crazy like a Fox!

Batman Begins is easily my favourite of the Nolan trilogy.
I think it's the most important Superhero film of all time. It was the first successful reboot of a franchise as WB/DC pivoted away from the Schumacher films.
Batman at the time was still a hot property even after the disaster that was Batman & Robin and a lot of big directors pitched a Batman idea. Give WB credit for picking Nolan as the best director to take over, up until that point he hadn’t really done any big movies. The rest as they say is history.
The fact that this movie has a 84% rating on Rotten Tomatoes is pretty surprising, especially considering many inferior superhero movies in my opinion are much higher than that.
The Burton Batman was far more important. Superhero movies mostly weren't a thing back then, other than Superman which had given up years earlier. Burton's Batman was a phenomenon that normalized the idea that a comic book movie could be enjoyed by everyone.
Batman begins was just a reboot, in the middle of many comic book movies. It's my favourite of the Nolan ones, but Burton's Batman was far more important at the time.

An argument could be made for Superman: The Movie, Batman or Ironman being more important.
Superman defined superhero movies for decades. Also, adjusting for inflation, it's the highest grossing movie with Superman in it and only aired in 20% of the theatres.
Ironman created the dynasty that is Marvel movies.
Batman 1989 was a cultural phenomenon at the time and kicked off the superhero movie craze.

Not exactly. JL was the 5th film of the DC Universe while Avengers was the 6th. So its only one film different. It would be like if the MCU put out Iron Man, Hulk, Iron Man 2, Captain America then put out Avengers and then right after the Thor stand alone. The way they did it now, I think Aquaman showed well enough in Justice League that the film will get a slight boost at the box office and probably safely cross the $200 Million mark. And the box office for DC’s first 5 films have made about $1.6 Billion while the first phase of MCU (6 films including Avengers) has made $1.75 billion so pretty even.
The quantity of movies that had come out had nothing to do with it though, the big difference is that by the time Justice League came out you had only 2 characters have standalone movies.
Superman and Wonder Woman.
Suicide Squad had nothing to do with Justice League. Superman who was the pillar character for the cinematic universe wasn't around for the first 2/3 of Justice League.
Ben Afflick as Batman was only introduced in what was a poor BvS movie. Flash, Aqua Man, Cyborg were only introduced in Justice League.
Compare that to Marvel who had.
Iron Man - Introduced Iron Man
The Hulk - Introduced The Hulk
Iron Man 2 - Introduced War Machine and Black Widow
Captain America - Introduced Captain America (and longer term Bucky)
Thor - Introduced Thor & Loki
Then they had The Avengers where the only character that was introduced to us was Hawkeye.
We knew who the villian was (Loki), we knew all the supporting characters from SHIELD (Fury and Coulson) and the movies all felt very connected.
DC Universe may have put out the same volume of movies but they rarely felt connected, and didn't actually do a great job of introducing the characters individually (Wonder Woman excluded).

It really didn't kick off the superhero craze though. It was released 19 years before Ironman with only sporadic comic book movies in between.
Batman Begins definitely inspired the recent revival.
I should have rephrased that. It helped kicked off the comic book craze of the 90s and that kicked off many, many superhero comic book movies in the 90s. Blade, The Crow, Tank Girl, Mask, Rocketeer, Men in Black, Spawn, Judge Dread, and a lot of crap.

Yeah, but most of those were shlocky junk. The modern comic book movie takes itself pretty seriously (in production standards if not always subject matter) and Begins was definitely the forebearer of the modern style.
