Crazy to think this is the 10th season video I've made for Giordano.
Gio is such a freaking rock back there. He is still criminally underrated, which was really evident IMO when the Hamilton trade was made and lots of advanced stats guys came out to say that Dougie is a #1 defender and suggested Gio was the passenger on that pair. In reality, watch how often Giordano makes an amazing defensive play after Dougie gets caught flatfooted or out of position. Excited to see how Gio and Brodie do together again next season.
I also have a Season Preview video mostly finished that features the new additions for a segment like I did a couple seasons ago.
Hoping the music I chose doesn't cause issues again. I'll hold onto that for a while though, especially in case the Flames make any more significant changes.

I absolutely love this highlight package because it shows every little thing Giordano does on the ice to help this team win. He's the total package and one of the best all-around players in the game today. He can do everything. How many players can you say that of?

He deserves a long playoff run, lets get it this year boys!
Also, not trying to #### on Hamilton but wow did Gio cover him a lot. Multiple break always where Gio was always the guy busting back. Rarely saw Hamilton do this.
Lots of soft d plays by Hamilton all over this vid as well. Hopefully Brodano brings out the best of Brodie and Gio.

Agreed, I think this is my favorite player highlight video. It's not all goals and hits like most, it is the little things.
This is one of the videos I would be showing a young kid who wants to become a better defenseman.
When the God of Positional Styles created Giordano, he immediately destroyed his existing "Two-Way Defender" mould, having realized he now had the basis for an even better mould that would be used for generations to come.

After watching this video I was thinking the exact same thing. The little things he can do is what makes him so great. I don't know if I have ever said he is underrated before but I am now. He is a great leader by example of hard work and dedication to doing everything he can to help his team win. We are so lucky to have him! I think Brodano will have an amazing season and show us that they should never been split up again! Gio covered for Dougie so much, I didn't realize it until watching this video.
Thanks AC, love your stuff!

Gio's taken his fair share of crap around here. But he's always been the constant rock on the back end. When Brodano was a thing, some people said it was Brodie that drove that line. But as soon as I saw how good Gio and Hamilton was, I knew it was Gio all along.
He really is one of the most underrated D in the league and doesn't get the recognition he deserves. Hopefully the team can make a deep run with him during the next season or 2.
As someone who's played nothing but defence in Be a Pro or EASHL online, I truly appreciate the devotion to all the great defensive plays and second efforts by the captain. Rewound and rewatched at 0.5x a lot. Great editing.

Watching those highlights really gives me high hopes some of that will rub off on a young guy like Hanifin. The quickness, anticipation, positioning, hustle, toughness, and strength. Not to mention his ability to jump into the rush, walk the line, and finish with that release.
