Which would be fine by me, he looked even worse than Buckley did in my opinion last season. He's not mobile and he's not very accurate either.

Lemar Durant is finally cleared for practice this week, I assume that was part of why Parker was released?

Couldn't agree more. Loved the guy when he was a Hawkeye, but he just doesn't translate to the pro game at all.

Just no room for him.

2 Days from the Kickoff to 2018!
Too bad the weather is going to be garbage on Saturday, hopefully it doesn't keep the crowds away.

Yeah, I seem to recall the last few home openers have all been hot and sunny. Hopefully things improve over the next 24 hours...
Any idea if Manziel will see the field (i.e. on short yardage)?

Maybe I missed an injury but where is Ciante Evans on the depth chart. He was their best DB last year

Not just broke it, he could play with that but he had to have surgery to repair it...it was a nasty break.
Should be back within a couple weeks though. Great player and will be missed.
Really wonder about this years squad. Soooo many changes from last season which I think will lead to an adjustment period. The O-Line is actually the most stable part of the team all of a sudden even though 3 guys retired over the winter. 2 of them never did play last year, but the loss of Federkeil will be felt for a while.
To start Im not sure that the Stamps best course of attack is a LOT of ground game which hopefully will allow shots down the field with Rogers now back and Begelton/Daniels needing attention from the defense as well. If they can game plan and get one on one coverage for any of those guys they could see some success through the air. Bo's shoulder is apparently 100% and it needs to be as he was certainly less than that last year.
This team will live and die with its defense though. That "front 7" is absolutely the strength of the entire club, and hopefully rotating guys in and out keeps them able to sustain pressure for the full 60 minutes, particularly once Davis is back and healthy. The D line is deeper than i ever remember a Stamps team being. The LB core isn't that far off either and if he stays healthy i suspect Singleton will be in the defensive player of he year talk once again.
Might be a bumpy beginning to the year, but i see this team getting stronger as they go along which bodes well the way the schedule is. Eastern teams the first 5 games followed by 6 in a row against the West.
Going to be a struggle tonight IMO as they get some things figured out and Hamilton has to have some payback in mind for that 60-1 thrashing the Stamps laid on them last year.

Thanks
I don't appear on as many of the podcasts as I used to, and I do kind of miss it. But life happens.
I was on the podcast a couple of years ago when we had Dennis and Messam on and they were great guests and really genuine guys.
When we first started CFLHorsemen.ca we had no idea that the Stamps would give us the access to the team that they did to the point that we were one of the first fan sites to be given full media access, we've been in the dressing rooms at games and at press events at the Grey Cup. We had Ted Hellard tell one of our members to go f himself while he was celebrating the Grey Cup win in gest.
We originally struggled to get players on the show, but now we've got a solid reputation of treating the players really well, and letting them talk about what they want to talk about.
Thanks for your support.

Jesus, just saw the banner ad for Stamps tickets. They still won't budge on that $36 starting price on tickets in the far corner on metal benches, eh? Why don't they just tarp over some of the corners like Edmonton does in their non selling areas?
At least artificially reduce capacity if you're going to sell at a price that leaves them empty the whole year. I'm really at a loss as to their strategy here.

I agree jayswin. No clue what they are thinking. Those corner metal bench seats should be $20. Would you rather have 1000 people pay $20 or 500 people at $36? I'd take the larger crowd for sure. More merch and concession sales, not to mention a better atmosphere that creates more demand.

Even sell em at 10$ a pop and you're guaranteed people will be buying beers/food/merch while filling those seats.
I'm sad the Stamps won't budge on ticket prices.
