Square Enix's conference was pretty underwhelming. It was only a half an hour and there were only two games that I have any interest in playing(Tomb Raider, Just Cause 4).

Just a heads up to anyone hoping to get their hands on the Fallout 76 - Power Armor Edition. It sold out on every site pretty much instantly, however, you can still walk into an EBGames and place $25 down to pre-order it. The one in Deerfoot Meadows has 3 left as of this post, and the one in Chinook is where I got mine and they would not update the quantity.
Can someone please explain to me what Kingdom Hearts is and why anyone cares? Cause it looks really stupid.
I tried to get into that series because it's an RPG full of Disney characters, should be awesome. But the over-the-top Japanese anime stuff is just too much
An interesting E3 in the sense that I feel like their is a shift in the way things get revealed at the event.
Sony, and other studios seem to be moving to a pattern where they aren’t announcing titles that are still 3+ years away.
I think with some of the game cancellations that Microsoft had, and since some of the big games from Sony’s E3 a few years back (FF7, Shenmue) haven’t released still they are playing it safe.
I kind of hope the trend continues and that these events start to be limited to announcing things that are 6-18 months out instead of always 3+ years out.
Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima both look incredible. Even my wife was getting in to that TLOU2 demo and she doesn't give a crap about E3.
I thought the rest was okay. I'm a bit worried about Spider-Man, the graphics are great and it's very cinematic but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of actually engaging gameplay. Not a huge Resident Evil fan but that's obviously a big deal to a lot of people.
Assassin's Creed Odyssey looked fantastic. I skipped on Origins last year and am kind of glad I did, I'm way more interested in this setting than Egypt, and now I can come in to this new style of AC fresh. I also thought Skull & Bones looked really cool, and remain hyped for the DK Adventure DLC!
And I couldn't resist the 30% off for the Starlink game with the Arwing model. I'm considering it a Star Fox game at this point. Unfortunately it looks like the Switch version is already sold out: https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/Search/...query=starlink

Ghosts looked cool, but really similar to Ryse, not a bad thing imho as that game was a lot of fun. LOU2 looks amazing.

I guess the combat might have looked similar? But obviously the setting and the scope, scale, and amount of content are much greater. I never played Ryse but I heard it was the typical type of launch game: great graphics, some cool ideas, but not fleshed out and light on content.
