For sure, not calling you out. At least you are trading away assets to help the tank instead of just benching your good players like someone did quite a few years ago. I don't blame you.

4th rounder for the Islanders producing well in the KHL. Skilled guy with upside.
Considered by some sources to be a top 10 prospect in the Isle organization.
I would like a 4th for him.

Some GMs just don't care about the draft and are playing the short-game. Which is valid because you can constantly deal draft picks to teams that do care about it - and get good value back to fill gaps on your team.
The previous GM of your club was always focused on winning near-term.
