Seeing him roll the 4th line out right after the Flames first goal against Montreal pretty much sums up how his time in Calgary has been. Just no clue what should be done.

I voted yes but after the season is over and we hand over our lottery pick to the Islanders.

He should be fired without question. The home record alone is a good enough reason. Not sure what the hold up is anymore? It's becoming more and more clear that BT is trying to hold on and salvage his own reputation.

Get Darryl Sutter in place before we face the Oilers again. Losing will just not be an option.

IIRC Burke has a self imposed franchise movement freeze around the holidays, maybe thats part of it. Wont do it to players so wont do it to staff either. No idea really though.

Wow, I'm way off the pulse on this one. I guess I haven't been paying attention enough to read the room.

Should the Flames fire Gulutzan?

This doesn’t really make sense.
How are the Flames “artificially propped up” by their goaltending and first line? Don’t most teams rely on their starting goalie and top offensive players?
It’s not even like Smith has been out of this world good. He’s had some good stretches and some below average stretches

Should've been fired after last year's playoffs. He may be an okay coach, but it's obvious he'll never be good or even great.

There was way more dissatisfaction with Gulutzan than satisfaction. What I was seeing was the supportive posters getting frustrated with the level of frustration and anger towards this coaching staff and loudly countering it whenever they could, giving the appearance that things were more even.
Gaskal, CaliPanthersFan among others were quite agitated with perceived lack of patience amongst the fan base and countered quite frequently. Which would then lead to back and forths giving the perception of a divided fan base, when most were clearly unhappy with our results relative to where we thought we should be.

He will get the season. If we don't make the playoffs Glue and Treliving can share a cab to the airport for the sole reason that New York could win the lottery with our pick. Wouldnt that be swell.

too many soft players on this team. does anyone even remotely think guys like Hamilton will be playoff warriors. BT overestimated this team and now is praying the Isles dont get a lottery pick and is likely too stubborn to pull the plug on GG

No chance we win the Cup under Gulutzan, and this year, we don't even get a participation ribbon in the first three rounds.
But hey, have more patience, right?

It's frustrating because they fired Hartley in a very quick and decisive way but are now too chicken to pull the plug on Gulutzen when it is so obvious this team has been underperforming under him.
Hire Sutter, buyout Brouwer, play Andersson ahead of Bartkowski, and waive Stajan.

It’s time. Nothing against the guy but it’s like anyone else being hired to a position they aren’t fit for. Right the ship (or even make the attempt to) now and work from there. We have maybe 3 more years of Gio being good, Johnny and Monny are entering their primes, we have a good defense group (when used right) locked up still, and a good supporting cast with Bennett, Tkachuk, Ferland, etc. Get someone in now who can maximize their efficiency. Admit your mistake Tre and you might keep your job for now. If he waits out the season and we miss the playoffs he’s probably gone too.
