If anyone doubted how much this streak meant to both teams, that last 5 minutes should have been eye opening. I can't remember another game this early in the season where a team would pull their goalie with 3+ minutes left and already up a man.

The Ducks were as desperate to keep the streak going as the Flames were to end it.

We should do a group buy on those gummy dicks. I am sure 10 sea containers or so delivered to Bieska house would do the trick.

Smith was an absolute beast again this game. Team MVP so far this season!

So my Honda got rear ended in a parking lot yesterday. I guess I know what I have to do from now on.

I started watching the Flames in 2004 (yup, call me a bandwagonner if you'd like but I stuck around).

This is literally the first and only time I've seen the Flames win in Anaheim since following the team.

What a thrill that one was. Flames played a very methodical game, demonstrating some team maturity we don't often see. They weren't dominant, but they were consistently engaged across all situations.

Bartkowski very underrated. He's been very good each game.

Whole blueline was excellent tonight. Giordano's best game so far. Brodie really feeling it.

Bennett is a perplexing player.

Glass has been very serviceable. Excellent 4th liner.

Nice having that Gaudreau-Versteeg swap option - it has kickstarted the offense each of the last two games.

Backlund line was the best throughout the night so it was fitting that he scored the second one. Tkachuk one of the best players on the wall in the league.

Smith was very very good, but thought Gibson was the reason this wasn't a more decisive win for the Flames.

This team seems legit thus far. They have some swagger and are organized.

Just finished watching the game, Mike Smith is a beast and the boys played hard tonight and I thought controlled the game well. Also I thought Tkachuk was amazing this game, loved it when Getzlaf punched him and took the penalty.

Lol @ the Oil, they thought it was gonna be a blood bath and it was...

I can't express how happy Jobu having his own stall makes me.

I'm pretty big on Jobu.

The Flames have basically been a free 4-6 points every year for the Ducks for the past decade or so.

I would love to see them miss the playoffs by that margin.

Yup, that's exactly what happened. And Stajan had a few words with him

It would be huge to win that game in LA. Coming home 3-1 just sounds so much more glorious than 2-2.

He did yeah. Brian Murphy. Grabbed it from Bieksa and handed it to Stajan.

Fun fact, Murphy was an official for the '04 Finals
