Not surprising that the video for arguably our best and most consistent forward last year winds up being so long. I didn't realize until making this video how many OT goals Backlund was in on.
vs BUF = Mono from Johnny
vs ARZ = Frolik does it alone
@ ARZ = Dougie from Johnny @ OTT = Johnny from Backlund
@ NJ = Backlund from Brodie and Frolik
@ NSH = Gio from Monahan and Johnny vs LA = Brodie from Backlund
vs DET = Backlund from Frolik and Gio
@ STL = Monahan from Gio and Frolik
Though my favourite subtle play is probably his no-look pass to Dougie backdoor at 24:18!
Backlund is the reason I still have tons of faith in Bennett. It's amazing how integral #11 is to the success of the Flames.

Such an exciting player - the guys bleeds red and it shows...heart and soul guy, skilled centre, selke caliber player, play driver, etc. he does it all.
Hope he stays a flame for the rest of his career.

I'd forgotten about that OT winner against the Devils. Man, what a great possession/cycling shift!

I am so glad this organization didn't give up on Backs.
Same reason we should stay patient on Bennett. I would rather the Flames bank on him reaching his potential than give up on him to early. Even if he tops out as a third liner. His potential is to high
I always love the AC everywhere in the scoreboards. do you just overlay it?
Yep, I take a frame and Photoshop my version onto a transparent PNG which I then overlay on top. Gets a little complicated for transitions between clips.
