I always thought it would have made a fabulous elite style of video game.
It would just be a natural MMG, where the emphasis is more on trade and crime then on just going out and killing people.
A universe full of law breakers with the central military as NPC always on the lookout to kill you. Or you could have players as members of the military tracking down smugglers.
But imagine an 8 person group doing a payroll robbery. Or going into reaver territory to expose some horrible truth.
It would be amazing.
Especially if you had a Star Wars Galaxy style space flight model.

I really liked firefly and I thought that Serenity was a great science fiction movie. The series worked because every single person was damaged and every single person had some real angst to them.
In my mind though, the movie did a good job of finishing the series off for me. They had finally defeated the villains, River to an extent was safe, the secret that the Alliance feared was safe. Mal and Inera were probably going to finally get together. Jayne and Zoe were the only ones that were probably un resolved and Simon had finally plowed Kaylee.
There wasn't really much left in my mind

It's definitely just a fan video. The animation style is Disney/Bluth which is great.
I also agree that Serenity wrapped the show up nicely. It's been too long for them to try to rekindle the show into something most sci-fi nerds wouldn't pick apart. I don't know of any show that's come back after such a long time and lived up to the original.
I would love a Shepard Book back story or a few more teasers.
I don't think I would, I like the mystery of what he really was.
He's like the man that stared into the abyss and didn't jump in and left his old life behind.
Like the old west gunfighter that puts his guns down and becomes a teacher or a priest or the town drunk, but every once in a while you get a look at his dead soul.
Was he an agent like the one in Serenity?
Was he a soldier or officer at the battle of Serenity with blood on his hands?
A bounty Hunter with guilt?
Like the joker, we should never really ever know where he came from.

It would be great if Firefly could be rebooted on Netflix or something but is probably not possible since the movie wrapped everything up.
The only way it would work is if it followed Mal and his ship. Be true to the story and the character, he's alienated everyone, alone, on some planet trying to get Serenity back in the air. The Tam's are around, Kaylee married Simon and they look after River, same planet, rich area, Kaylee occasionally visits her former captain.
Jayne is long gone, left when the money ran out. Inarra and Zoe gave up on him, off doing their own things.
Just forget all that, fan fiction is boring.
