Trade it to the Islanders for Dal Colle and Halak, Flames first rounder and third rounder for Dal Colle, Halak and Ho-Sang.

No way in hell. I am not sold on Dal Colle at all. Would much rather trade it for droin and Vasilevsky even if we have to add to get it

Logan Brown sounds like a good pick. Huge skilled guy. Can never hurt in the western conference. Nylander has the skill but I prefer some size and power. Haven't seen him play but read a few things that say he's more of a perimeter player.
Obviously I really really want one of Dubois or Tkachuk. Don't care which.

Good list. IMO i don't think Dubois or Tkachuk will be available at 6th. Went with Nylander. Wanted a powerforward that could score, but don't see one worth taking at 6th. Nylander might not be a power forward, but the kid has high end skill.

Drouin and Vasilevsky for the Flames first rounder, Colburne, Wideman and a second.

That pretty much matches my reasoning too. Nylander could be to Bennett what Gaudreau is to Monahan.

BPA. For me it was mainly between Chychryn and Nylander. Also considered Jost and Keller as I think they will have good careers. Went with Chychryn in the end just because I sense based on where he is consistently ranked that he might be the BPA. Can always trade for a F in the future if we're deep on D.

I'm not enamored with what's remaining after the top 5, but I think I'd probably go with Sergachev.
Or if the Flames really like Nylander, then Nylander.

Color me a bit surprised that Nylander has quite the healthy lead in the poll! I'm not being critical about it, just a nice surprise.

He gave pretty clear and valid reasoning to not include them in the poll...

Well Tkachuk has put up better numbers than Dvorak in the playoffs, and isn't far behind Marner.
He's benefiting by playing with them, no doubt, but even when I factor that in, he'd still easily be in my top 5.

Would be willing to Trade with Edmonton to swap picks to get ahead of Vancouver, Collusion at its best.
#4 for #6 and #35
Calgary drafts PLD, and Edmonton drafts a Dman at #6 and will have 2 early picks in the 2nd round

Does it have to happen now to make sense? Or did we miss out when we lost Cammy?

If top 5 forwards are gone ( not convinced that will be the case) then I'll guess the Flames will take the best defenceman Chychrun or Joulevi

It's right in my post. Dubois or Tkachuk would win the vote in a land slide if either were available, and I want to see who Flames fans prefer most if neither of those two are available.

Wow, didn't think Nylander would run away with it like this.
Interesting.

With the big three out of the picture, Tkachuk. He's the best fit for this team.
I don't know why he's not on the list. If Edm/Van are seeking d-men why shouldn't he be?
Anyhow, he won't be a superstar but if he can be a top 6 forward that can push people around then he would be a great addition.

I think the Flames probably take the top dman in that scenario. I still think one of VAN/EDM is likely to take a dman in the draft which should leave us one of the big, skilled forwards in Dubois/Tkachuk
But who's the top dman on the Flames list? That's the real question. One of Chychrun, Sergachev or Juolevi most likely. I'll go with Chychrun I guess.
