McLeod, Sergachev, Nylander or Juolevi and I'll be happy.

For me the BPA there is Sergachev.

We need top end skill, so I voted Nylander. He's not huge and doesn't play a gritty game, but he's not small and soft either. I'm intrigued by Keller but don't think the Flames would use a pick this high on someone that small (especially with Gaudreau)

I really hope Tkachuk or Dubois is available.

pretty much my thinking too... going to watch more film on Nylander... but it really seems to be a case of "Will" as opposed to Skill... kid seems really talented, but what's his motor like?
What doesn't the highlight reel show? is he putting out effort on the backcheck? blocking shots? etc...
i do think Keller is intriguing though and he would possibly be a guy that calgary could trade down for...if you can get a 3rd for moving to 9?

I wonder if the flames can move and shake their was to #3. They might have 2 seconds and 2 firsts...id give the 2 firsts and colborne to move into a top 3 spot.

I think Keller has the highest upside. I know hes a little smaller but hes not Johnny small and Chicago doesnt seem to have much trouble playing Kane and Panarin in the same top 6. He would have been ranked in the Tkachuk/Dubois area anyway if he was 2" taller and 15 lbs heavier. Being so young hes going to add some size anyway.
I dont think we need a dman that is likely at least 1-2 yrs away from time on the bottom pair. We have to go F here.

It'd take a Miracle to pry a Finn out of CLB's hands. Seeing as their GM wants to somehow get both of them on his team. But WPG..... that's Selanne reborn. Nothing is impossible, but it appears the top 3 are locked down tighter than some dirty metaphore about a Nun.

Can't decide yet.
Nylander, Jost or Brown if they are leaning towards a forward.
Edit: went with Nylander

Dubois or Tkachuck if either are available, but Nylander if not.

Nylander. I see him as a 30,30 guy on our team. He's also responsible defensively.

i wouldn't mind trading down a few spots, grabbing another asset, and taking one of the Dmen still on the board.

Nylander. Saw him multiple times live and was sold, he's not a liability defensively - actually a good two way player last year in his rookie season. He's right handed, skilled and dynamic. Gaudreau - Monahan - Nylander would be awesome I think.

I'm also going to assume that the Flames keep the pick and don't trade up or down.
So, if 1-5 go as above, who do you most want the Flames to take at #6?
|
I don't know why you would assume that. Tkachuk has a lot of points but he plays with Dvorak and Marner, both of whom have been in the top 5 OHL scoring for the past two years. I'm afraid Tkachuk will be Bill Arnold, since Arnold put up a lot of points playing between Hayes and Gaudreau. I know it's too different situations, but Arnold put up some silly numbers.
