What a disgrace. Absolutely disappointed with that garbage effort. I came from out of town to watch that?

Absolutely 100% embarrassing. This team needs to wake up.

David jones' shooting % sitting at 100% tonight. Unsustainable.

Just got back from this tire fire. Honestly one of the worst efforts by the Flames in years. They just look so damn sloppy, it felt like a preseason level of execution.

Having to endure it in front of all the obnoxious greasers made it even worse.

To change the subject - Scott Oake did a great interview there with Kris Letang - he comes across as a very humble guy. Nice to see him bounce back from his health issues last year.

The repeated stretch passes just don't seem to be working. We're just throwing the puck down the ice, and away.
No wonder our possession numbers are so underwhelming.
Definitely missing Brodie's ability to rush the puck up. I'm hoping once he's more comfortable, Hamilton will be using his speed to carry the puck up too.

I wasn't able to watch the game tonight. Just saw the highlights, of which there were very few. WTF is going on with these guys?? Losing to that joke of an Oilers team is pretty much rock bottom as far as I'm concerned. Is this some kind of weird hangover from winning a playoff round last year? They'd better right the ship quickly. Considering their competition over the next few games, this little losing skid could easily turn into 5 or 6 losses in a row if they don't wake up.

That is disgusting. The time for knee-jerk reactions is now. Fire everyone. Trade everyone.

On another note: at least David Jones is off to a decent start. I like David Jones.

It's moments like tonight when we as a fan base must stand together and brace ourselves for the hardships ahead.

"Good night then. Sleep to gather strength for the morning. For the morning will come. brightly it will shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn."

The flames were successful last year because of the fact that they outwork the opposition and never quit. This year they don't work anywhere near as hard and they're getting beat easily. Not much you can do about that.

To me this is all on the players. If they went out and worked hard and came up with the results you could look at other things, but unlike last year, this team hasn't worked particularly hard in the first 5 games of the year, and they've earned their record.

Going out and pooping the bed badly against that Oilers team has to be the hard hammer down, the Flames embarrassed themselves badly on their own home ice.

While its way to soon to panic, the players have to take a long look in the mirror and find their missing heart.

I believe that they think that they're a better team then they are, and that's the failing, they're not an elite team, they're not even a good team right now.

You can work through a lack of chemistry, but you can't lazy your way to a win in this league.

Its time for the hard message from the coaches that this is unacceptable.

Losing 5-2 to an Oilers team that can't score and can't defend, is the ultimate in failures.

Typical, the Oilers win one game out of the last what million and here you are. You're team is hardly gritty, and your city is hardly blue collar, congrats on a rare win.

This was more about the Flames not coming to work then the Oilers being anywhere near good.

Are the Flames still rebuilding or are they just not good? I don't care who's in goal, the defence and offence on this team is non-existent.
