I'm gonna say he was a plant. We saw the Foo fighters in Toronto in July and they pulled a guy from the crowd up on stage to play the drums, I can't remember which song it was but it was also the second last song of the night, and of course the guy was great. He was holding a sign then went something like "It's my birthday can I play drums". I would hope the Foo Fighters are beyond trying to trick the audience, but whatever, it was still a great show. Anyone goin tonight is in for a real treat.

I don't think he was a plant - there's a few times where he's not sure what the words are.

That dude's going to have a tough time topping that story for the rest of his life.

At the same time, no one would go to a concert with a sign like that unless they actually CAN play drums.

Was there and it was amazing. The genuine look of shock on Dave's face tells me it wasn't a plant.

Yeah, Sonic radio station in Edmonton interviewed him this morning. Pretty clear he isn't a plant after listening to the interview.

Even got to hang out and have a beer with them after the show. Super cool.

Isn't that how Wahlberg became a star in Rock Star?

Wow, that is, by far, my biggest dream and I know it'll never happen. What a lucky SOB.
